DaVinci's — Restaurant in Lincoln

We’re staying at a local hotel just a few blocks from here visiting family and I called in to place a carry out order. The immediately answered the phone but it took almost 5 minutes to place the order because for some reason they had to try and enter my name and address first. They couldn’t get the system to work right since it was an out of town address. It was a very confusing experience to be honest and took a lot of willpower and a gnawing hunger to stick it out and finally complete the order.

Honestly, it was a really well done pizza. Nice crisp crust, a good amount of toppings, and good flavor all around. I had a chicken bacon ranch pizza and really enjoyed it. A re-working of the order system may be in order, but definitely recommend the pizza if you’re in the Lincoln area.

Can’t comment on the atmosphere because it was in and out of the lobby but it was fairly empty, as I assume most pizza business in the evening...

We stopped for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon (around 2 p.m.). There were two other couples eating in the restaurant at the time. We were helped by a friendly cashier who took our order. The food was hot and exactly what we ordered. Nothing outstanding, but it was fine. The dining area and restroom were not very clean though. Most of the tables had crumbs on them and the floor needed to be swept badly. All surfaces in the restroom were dirty (hair, toilet paper, whatever the other pieces were) it needed to be wiped down and swept. The vent fan in the restroom was completely covered in lint. I would have thought the staff standing around in the kitchen chatting should have been cleaning up after the lunch rush. Maybe they were legitimately working on something, but the view from the dining room...

Wish they would go back to the sauces they used 15 years ago when I used to love this place. Alfredo sauce now is basically just oil. It collects on your plate as it cools down and frankly is gross. Location does seem to matter, as it's not as severe on S. 48th st.You can tell they basically just went with cheaper suppliers. Honestly, there have been times when it has made my family and I I'll. We are hopeful it will improve back to the "old days" but seriously losing hope. Prices are reasonable and staff is generally friendly. My recent visit I felt bad for the cashier as she had to use her fingers, twice, to count out my change. My bill was $2.30 (I had used a b-day coupon which is the only reason I went there) I gave her 3 bucks and she couldn't figure out my change, so maybe provide some basic...
