My family loves Hobby Lobby, from the foundations it was built upon and the merchandise it boasts.
We enjoy decorating and crafting to make our home…HOME. Fall comes with the usual excitement of finding new autumnal items for our house.
We live in Seward, NE, about 30 miles from the Lincoln store. A couple weeks ago, I purchased around $180 worth of decor. One of your items, broke as I tried to place it in the ground. The pole the tractor was sitting upon wasn’t sturdy or solid and bent. We also purchased some burlap/bow material, however, I realized it wasn’t large enough for our application—those items never left the bag.
Today, my daughter had a soccer game and we brought those items to return.
My wife and oldest daughter dealt with Patricia R- who refused to return the items. She accused my wife of intentionally damaging the tractor decoration and using the material. The floor manager was called over and she instructed Patricia to return the items and walked away.
In a humph, Patricia continued to berate my wife and daughter as well as muttering words under her breathe. My wife asked her to repeat what she was stating. Unfortunately, my daughter wasn’t comfortable purchasing the candy in her lane and chose another one.
We spend around $500 a year here; nothing monumental, but an investment we enjoy making into our home. My oldest is also growing in her sowing skills and has asked for gift cards to Hobby Lobby from extended family so she can buy material and thread.
Unfortunately, Patricia R made such an antagonistic fuss with my wife and daughter, we will be returning the other items we kept for decorations and we’ve asked my family and friends to find other craft store gift cards. When my 11 year old expresses grief by the rudeness shown her Patricia R. and confusion by her attitude, we need to think twice about subjecting her to these types of employees.
FYI- the area I placed the tractor is where we have candidate yard signs. Somehow they were able to be placed without bending the rods supporting...

Read moreI returned some items I'd received as a gift with no receipt. The manager accepted it and applied my balance to a gift card. Went to buy some stuff - card shows no balance. Manager is called over and explains it can take up to 48hrs to be applied. It has been well over that time frame and nothing! I called and emailed number and address I could find. Finally got a call back stating that my return has been flagged as possibly fraudulent. They quiz me on all this info, which I don't know because it was a gift! AND he informs me that I can't get my stuff back because it was already processed. I am still working with them on fixing this but seriously. This is just bad customer service. If you can't grant me a refund, just refuse the return! At least then I'd have something instead of nothing. They defrauded me of $140, which isn't a lot to some people, but it's...
