McDonald's — Restaurant in Lincoln

If you are expecting gourmet burgers or healthy high-quality food, go somewhere else. McDonald's is the place you go for inexpensive food served to you quickly. It should go without saying, but some people don't understand that they need to rate places based on reasonable expectations.

I love that McDonald's has an app I can use to look at the menu and order ahead of time. You get the best deals by ordering with the app. All I have to do is let them know I placed my order with the app when I show up. I highly recommend the app for convenience and good deals. The app accepts Apple Pay.

The breakfast options at McDonald's are good. I am not a morning person, so I usually skip breakfast. I used to work at McDonald's at a different location years ago, so I can tell you the pancakes are not cooked on location. That would take too long. They are shipped in frozen and heated in the microwave. They are ok. The sandwiches, biscuits & McMuffin, are good. I also enjoy the burritos. The bagel sandwiches are very good when the bagels are not toasted too much. I was also surprised by how much I like the oatmeal when I tried it.

As for the burgers, I am disappointed by how bland the meat is. It's less obvious with the smaller patties used in the Big Mac and the cheeseburgers, but much more obvious with the quarter pounder and double quarter pounder. McDonald's switched from frozen patties to fresh patties, but I don't believe it made a difference. Adding seasoning helps a lot. I enjoy the McChicken sandwich for what it is. A very cheap but filling chicken sandwich. I also really like the fish sandwich when it is served hot. Some locations let the fish sit too long after it's been cooked. McNuggets are ok, but there are better nuggets from Wendy's and Chick-fil-A.

As for dessert, I have always been happy with the shakes and ice cream. The pies are ok if they are kept hot. I also really like the limited time custard pie they sell during Christmas.

Of all the McDonald's locations in Lincoln, this one is my preferred location. Lately, my orders have been accurate and the service has been fast. The public Wi-Fi is...

Twice now I go here on Saturdays around 4:30 a.m. no one takes my order. The first time I've seen this one manager with blonde hair and kinda tall looked at me and walked away. I then called 5 times and no one picked up. This morning I had to honk my horn to get someone and it was the same manager with blonde hair told me they open at 5 a.m.

I know she was lying do to the fact that google has information that this location was open 24 hours on Saturday and other Mcdonalds were open across Lincoln.

So I had to go to a different Mcdonalds over at Saunders & Cornhusker to get my food before my early morning shift. That Mcdonalds is my old reliable because they always deliver.

I would recommend not going to this Mcdonalds on the other hand as I question their standards of customer service. With apathy from this store I would assume that this place has plenty of apathy of food safety due to the low standards they shown my of what they set.

Yesterday was raining and crappy...I have recently moved to the area and was working at my storage unit across the street with my son. McDonald's smelled SO GOOD so we went. The best word to summarize our visit was beautiful. After getting my order I noticed a birthday freebie in my app...went back to the counter, son in his stroller...to get some free chicken nuggets for my birthday this month, indicating my intent to give them to my little boy. His first nuggets. When I collected my freebie...it was a happy meal complete with apple slices and a toy. I didn't even realize til I went to feed him. I thought the guy at front just gave the nuggets in a happy meal box since it was for my son. Grateful doesn't even cover it. I wish I had gotten the guys' names that worked that day.
