This establishment appeared promising a few years ago, as indicated by reviews. We opted for the chicken and lamb kebabs accompanied by rice and chickpeas. Regrettably, both the chicken and lamb lacked sufficient flavor, although they were not necessarily unpleasant. Given the price, one would anticipate a more pronounced taste profile. The nan bread was satisfactory, while the mantu dish was merely average. Overall, the dining experience is satisfactory; however, it does not evoke a sense of excitement or satisfaction. Rather, it elicits a more indifferent response, leaving one with a feeling of mediocrity. I would only recommend dining here if there is a specific craving for kebabs and the inconvenience of traveling a greater distance outweighs the desire for a more remarkable culinary experience. Taking into account various factors such as price, food quality, taste, and others, I would assign this establishment a rating of three stars. It is by no means terrible, but if given the choice, I would suggest exploring alternative options.
Pros:
Suitable for satisfying immediate hunger when limited options are available nearby. Cons:
Chicken and lamb tend to be slightly dry. The pricing does not align with the overall value. Chicken and lamb kebabs lack robust flavor. Portion sizes are comparatively smaller than other...
Read moreSigh. I wanted to love this place on my first visit. I purchased two meals a little under $40. Let’s start with the good news. As a carryout the smell was on point. The cashier was super friendly and gifted me an extra sauce. The food temp was hot and the bread was soft in spots and crispy around the corners. The place was clean.
The part that needs a little work. The FLAVOR was bland on the chicken, shami and chickpeas. I love chickpeas! Both meats were slightly over-cooked. The size of chicken was smaller than expected. The unusual, the rice was in one of the small wells in the carryout tray. Normally they give an abundance of rice and place the chicken on top. I ordered broiled veggies and they were charred but still really hard and crunchy. The white sauce was good but a little watery. The green sauce was good and different than I ever had. It actually had chopped herbs you could see in a vinegary substance. Loved this sauce! If the flavor, that came for was close I probably wouldn’t have wrote this review. But the FLAVOR is huge…you gotta hit that at bare minimum. I hope it was a bad day but I’ll give it...
Read moreI’ve ordered three times from this shop and each time my order has been wrong. Each time, the same problem. I ordered a large side of the green sauce. Every time, I received the white. Today I tried one made time via DoorDash so I ensure the sauce was right, I attempted to call the store and verify. I was hung up on twice and couldn’t understand the man who answered the phone so I’m not sure what happened. I would start to explain why I was calling, he would say something I couldn’t quite understand and then he would hang up. I got my order and it was the wrong sauce again. So rather than just take the loss or the refund, because I really wanted the green sauce, I drove to the store. When I got there no one else was in line but the man behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me. He answered two phone calls while I stood there, then went in the kitchen to start working on orders. Never said hello or hold on please or anything. The good is decent but not worth the trouble...
