This is hands down the best Sports Bar/Lounge in the Northern Dallas suburbs. Every seat in the restaurant has a good view, whether that's a large screen TV or the giant multi screen TV behind the bar. They even have stadium style seating which is a nice and unique touch. Best of all is that they play the sound to the main event being shown, whether it's the NFL playoffs or a UFC/boxing fight.
The drinks are solid (beer and cocktails) and moderately priced and the food is upscale bar food, which is nice for a Sports Bar. We've been here about four times since they had their Soft Opening and each time has been a good experience. In terms of food, we've had the wings, cheese curds, fries, and the wagyu and mushroom burgers and all have been good to great. The cocktails are also much better than what you normally get at a typical sports bar, service some solid old fashions and a few other cocktails.
The service is also really great, from the bartenders to the waitresses to even the owners. We came during one of the playoff games and the joint was pretty crowded. We saw the owners roll up their sleeves and help the waitresses take out food to the tables. This was pretty cool to see.
Like any new restaurant/bar, they've had minor issues like food coming out luke warm or being short staffed, but given that they are still in their Soft Opening stage, any minor issues that they've had I'm sure will get sorted out when they open to full capacity.
The last thing I'll say is that they have a live DJ playing a variety of tunes. This is why I described this as more of a Sports Lounge than a typical Sports Bar. Wouldn't recommend this place for children, which is honestly okay with me. There are plenty of other family friendly spots in this area that are more suitable for kids.
Glad they opened this place up, it's nice to have something like this in this area and not have to drive 50 minutes to Dallas to enjoy a game! Looking forward to spending Superbowl...
Read moreMy wife & I usually go to The Brass Tap location nearby when out this way, but since we were catching a movie next door at Flix Brewhouse at 8:45pm, we figured to give this place a try.
It wasn’t very busy when we got there a little after 7pm on a Sat., and we waited for a while to be seated, and finally seated ourselves by the front. There are TVs everywhere showing games, and we picked one that was showing a college football game that we were interested in. Finally, a host came over to us and said we could sit wherever we wanted. Within five mins, a server came over and took our drink orders, then our food orders a little bit after that.
Food was decent, beer was cold & fresh, but service was meh. When our food order was taken, I specifically asked for mustard (for my fries; I don’t like ketchup). When our food came out, no mustard, nor napkins or utensils. It took two trips for a busboy to get all requested items correct…no server to be seen. Beyond that, the sound from the main TV in the place (above the bar) is almost uncomfortably loud; like “having to shout to be heard by the person next to you” loud. The big draw of this particular evening was UFC 309, and we are not UFC fans, so when the main TV (and sound) were switched to that, it kinda brought the experience down another notch for us (that wasn’t the establishment’s fault, mind you; that was my fault for not checking into that or asking about it beforehand).
Our server did come by one time after the food came out to ask how everything was, but then we never saw her again for 20 mins. At this point, it was 8:25, and our film was starting soon. Finally, I flagged her down, and she came by with her device. I asked her to bring me the print copy of the receipt, and I waited five more minutes but she never came back.
I doubt we’ll be back. The food and beer experience was decent enough, but the atmosphere and service did not make us want to make a...
Read moreAbsolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! My husband and I went to watch the football game and all screens were playing THE SAME GAME - Steelers and Green Bay game only. Of ALL the screens, we asked the server when we walked in if they could put on the Texans game and out of no where, one customer got pissed about us asking to put the Texans game on. Today is Sunday football day, there are more than 4 teams playing today and there was plenty of tv’s to put on another game. The server, a young male, refused to work with us and kept making it seem like the customer behind us that raised hell had a say so in us not being allowed to watch the Texans. Y’all are a SPORTS BAR, y’all should be playing all games that are playing. As someone that works in the industry myself, engage the manager and handle this situation appropriately but this place has no balls to do that. We left. We will never come to this trash based bar ever again and we will spread the word. There is already terrible reviews on the poor service, poor food and of course, adding gratuity on everything.
On a positive note, we went to The angry elephant down the road and while they did not have the Texans playing, I asked the bartender if we could have the game on and as courteous he was, he was glad to put the game on. They were playing all the games playing today. We will gladly spend our $300 on food and drinks and tip our bartender heavily for being so kind and understanding. It doesn’t matter what team you’re rooting for, but for heaven sakes, play all the teams that are playing, not just the same two games on all 10+ screens. Y’all are ridiculous!
THIS PLACE IS NOT IT, FOLKS! Very...
