i hate to speak ill of a local small business but my experience here was a lower than subpar- it was underground par. we came in and the seating area looked nice but everything after that was a TRU disappointment. 😔 they overcharged us for all the sandwiches because on the menu it said $7.25 for our sandwiches and they charged us over $10 for each one and didn’t tell us that the menu had the wrong prices. the sandwiches took forever to come out even though there was only one other soul in that establishment. and finally to top it all off, there was a cute little roach sleeping on my lox bagel 🥯🪳 not exactly the protein i was expecting when i ordered but 🤷🏻‍♀️ we got a refund but nothing can repay me for the...

This is by far the best bagel shop in the metro area. No other place offers you this; baking you fresh to order bagels and other baked goods. I mean that literally. You can have them bake you a dozen bagels to order. No one else does that, as far as I'm aware. Their ooze over (poached egg, lox, sour cream and spinach on a bagel/roll of you're choosing) is amazing (it's actually my favorite sandwich there). Their coffee is always fresh. Service very disorganized; employees argue with each other in front of customers. They ran out of money in their register, so they use money from their own pockets. I had to wait 20 minutes to pick up 3 bagels I ordered 15 minutes in advance. The job I work at always order from Tru Bagels and I advice them to stop doing so due to the bad service and disorganization I’ve always experienced. Since my last visit with tru bagels, my job will not be ordering from them any more because of the struggle we all face to just pick up our breakfast.
