Avoid this location at all costs. Room was disgustingly horrendous and staff was horrible, awful, and rude. Booking: very easy. We asked if there was a swimming pool available. They said "yes, outdoors" Check in: also quick and easy but "actually there is no pool"
Room: on surface level your typical hotel, motel, holiday inn. When lifted blanket: Bed had blood stains, black, brown, orange stains and fresh bright yellow food stains that had not been washed. Sheets felt oily and very itchy. When lifted bed spread, hundreds of short human hairs and long dog hairs found along with several dried bloody scabs with hair stuck on them. Floor had shiny sticky areas, and there were very cute and clearly outlined muddy doggo foot prints found all over vinyl floor, as well as a hardened spot of vomit or poo, some form of food but not sure. Had to wash my hands and found bathroom had broken tiles, and towel rods were coming out of wall. Giant picture frame was resting on top of bed frame and not secured to wall, no fire or smoke alarm on wall with exposed and randomly cut wires in the non smoking room.
Within 10 minutes of entering the room and seeing the horror, Husband and I immediatley reserved a room at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel for the same night for only $20 more! So we went back to reception and asked to check out for a full refund due to the terrifying filth and unsafe conditions of the room. What I thought would be an apology with a full refund or offer to be moved to a different room, Instead, Shreya Jaggar said "you can check out now but you will not be getting a penny back." And Ami Jaggar baselessly and very stupidly claimed that my husband and I were the ones that made the mess before even going to the room. She walked us back to the room while yelling on the phone to someone about how we used the room and want a refund without even going in the room. Once we got in the room, Ami Jaggar kept yelling and didn't allow me to show her where our concerns were, or even let me speak or respond, instead she walked in and started yelling at us and saying that my husband and I liars, that we had come into the room and used it, used the bathroom, took showers, and threw trash on the floor and that we had the dog. (We have never owned a dog nor did we do anything she said we did). I was shocked and baffled at this response as I have never had any human, especially someone in hospitality, to have this type of outburst. Both Shreya and Ami Jaggar were calling my husband and I liars, they neglected to care for another family with a young child who was trying to check in (they interrupted servicing the family due to our issue and had the family wait uncomfortably, and I guarantee their check in process was as not as smooth as ours. Shreya and Ami Jaggar also had a male guest cause a very scary scene at the counter, which they allowed to escalate instead of trying to help resolve. After we left, I ended up crying and my husband was just confused as to how this business is running when their rates should be more like 25/night and not comparable to the fancy doubletree. We ended up having a very nice, clean, and comfortable stay elsewhere for about the same price that very day.
I am not sure if this Ramada has had a problem with people using their rooms for an hour or so and demanding a refund but I hope Shreya and Ami never treat or speak to another person the way they did to my husband and I ever again. The issue wasn't the filth of the room- its a motel, that happens. The issue was how we were treated and spoken to by the staff when we told them. Fortunately, Vana from Guest relations resolved our issue with a refund after we flew back home.
P.S The scary man that caused the scene also announced that he spends hundreds every week at this Ramada (I wonder why). If this is your vibe, book your room here today, otherwise I'd love to see this place staffed with more compassionate...
Read moreUnfortunately I booked a second stay here at Quality Inn , Wayne NJ. after 9 months but it was too late to cancel anyway. I was hasty in booking a hotel stay. That's why I wound up staying here a second time. However, it was a good chance to see if there were any improvements since the last time I was there. So no matter what I said/wrote the last time about certain things over there or whatever I put down here in my review, my words fell on deaf ears, anyway! 9 months ago when I stayed there, breakfast is not available. During my second stay at the same place, breakfast was not available still! She attachments here of the pictures I took. I I believe the pictures of self-explanatory because some of them I put my own texts. I was told by the receptionist that I had to drive to a laundromat outside the hotel to get my laundry done even though there was at least a washer and dryer there at Quality Inn, Wayne. This the result of negligence! The info. for this Quality Inn of Wayne is going into my "Stay away from here" list. Next time I have to make sure that I don't stay here ever again! Enough is enough! The indifference by the people in charge at this hotel is unacceptable! 😡 Buyers! Beware!😮
During my first stay here. No good except for some pros.
Pros.
Clean, bathroom fixtures good, faucets working, hot water good, comfortable bed, clean bedsheets.
Cons.
1)On the first day of my stay the room key didn't work at all. I had to walk a long distance(inconvenient)to the reception area and get somebody to come with me and he saw the problem for himself. Resolved that issue. Never had the problem with the room keys not working at a Days Inn. Keys always worked properly there. 2) The remote control for the TV. was missing from the room. Somebody had to come and check the TV. and said I would get a remote and I never got it at all and I had to check out after a 2 night stay. Another inconvenience I never had a problem like this at a Days Inn ,never! 3)Refrigerator did not have a freezer(another inconvenience) like the refrigerators at Days Inns, each and every one had a freezer & I was able to make ice. Risk of having spoiled food by not providing a freezer. I asked if they could take out the refrigerator and put in one with the freezer in it. That never happened. Inconvenient! 4)After I mentioned to the host that I had a better experience at a Days Inn in Ridgefield, he was quick to dismiss me after asking me why I didn't stay there longer. I told him that Quality Inn was closer to my doctor's appointment that I had on Monday October 14th 2024 in Little Falls. The owners know that it's hard to keep customers and very easy to lose them. Businesses can close down because of this!
One of the people who commented here about the hotel said that there should be zero stars! I agree with that person!
As long as there are a lot of negative reviews about this place, that means there's a problem! Customer service is terrible! Nothing's been done about this because our words fall on deaf ears! I would never stay there again, not if I...
Read moreWe overheard employees talking about how this hotel was just inspected by local City Building Code Inspectors and were given 20 days to correct a list of discrepancies or they will be shut down. The pool green and filled with algae. If they don't care enough to keep it clean, just imagine the lack of concern for room cleanliness. The room locks don't work... you have to keep trying the key card dozens of times before it finally lets you in. Even the General Manager's key card didn't let him into our room when he stopped and saw us having trouble getting in until he tried it about a dozen times. The room was dirty. It had hairs in the sink and the mattresses are stained. It also only had 2 towels and three washcloths for a room with 2 double beds. I tried to call the front desk for more towels and washcloths, but the phone doesn't work. When I called on my cell, they told me I would have to come to the front desk and get them myself. When I went to get them, they actually wrote down my room number the number of towels and washcloths they gave me, making me feel like I'm being accused of trying to steal them. The sink and bathtub both drain very slowly, so you have to be careful not to overflow them. The pillows are tiny, like a toddler pillow and so thin that your head sinks all the way to the mattress. When we asked for more pillows we were denied and told only 4 pillows in the room. They also do not clean the rooms daily. I did walk by the maids cleaning a vacant room and saw one eating while she was cleaning. The coffee pot only had one regular and one decaf coffee pack, but that didn't matter since the coffee maker didn't have the plastic holder to hold the coffee pack under the water. Since we couldn't make any in the room I asked the front desk (at 9:30) for coffee. The clerk just stared at me before telling me breakfast ended at 9 am. The Clerk told me to ask the manager about the filter holders. He said they have 10,000 wrong size filter holders and don't know when they'll get the right size in. However, the manager DID go into the kitchen and brought me out a full carafe of coffee. The "free breakfast" isn't there... no juice or milk... only coffee and water. They served off brand "Swiss Cake Rolls" and Oatmeal Cream Pies, cold plain bagels, and they had a single waffle maker. No knives to cut the waffle and no cream cheese for the bagels. No eggs, no meat, and no fruit. The Wi-Fi cuts in and out and only has 23 Mbps of bandwidth. I'm trying to get some work done and have to keep reconnecting. Two things that were very nice were the water pressure and the water temperature. The hot water heated up quickly and the faucets allow you to adjust the temperature in small increments. I'm so glad they don't just jump from ice to steam. All in all, I won't stay here again, and I probably will avoid Quality Inns in the future. They need to police their hotels better and should consider surprise...
