Alright so here's what happened to me in this place. So I was just walking by and thinking of trying out the food here since it was laid out infront of me and I've never been here before. BIG MISTAKE. As I was paying for my food, three corn dogs for $10+..., there was an older man that made a snarky remark and said why are you paying seperately in a rude manner. First, I didn't think of it much since I didn't believe he was talking to me. Then it hit me. I looked to my side and my older sister had brought two bottles sodas to the counter. Then I replied she is my older sister. Instead of saying sorry for the rude remark, he said you should still pay for both.
Ok so first off, I don't know who this old man is or why he was even there since he looked like he was standing there just to say random rude comments to customers. Second what I do with my money is none of your business and I don't know why this guy thought it was normal or okay to talk to a customer that way. And third ofcourse I would pay for my sister if I knew she had brought anything to the counter but to assume she is my girlfriend and ORDER me to pay for her when I don't even know this old man definitely is not the way you should treat anyone especially a first time customer.
It was the worst $13 dollars I spent, and I almost had a verbal arguement with the man but didn't want to cause a problem so left shortly after. I probably would never come here again with a rude man like that on the counter. This man is disrespectful, unprofessional, and is plain rude.
As for the food, its overpriced for the quality and it isn't good as some other reviewers mentioned. You could eat it but it's not worth fighting over. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, YOU MAY END UP IN...
Read moreI've always noticed Sang's Kitchen when checking out at Hmart because they have a nice variety of pre-made food. They also have snacks like onigiri, and Korean corn dogs. We decided to grab a quick lunch at the food court one Saturday at around 2. Hubby ordered from here and got the spicy chicken bento box. For $15, it was totally worth it. There was so much food. I ended up eating more of his meal than my own. It came with chicken stir-fried with veggies, rice, salad, fish cake, a gyoza, cabbage pancake (this was the worst item because it was dry and mealy), japchae, miso soup, and a side of banchan of pickled daikon and the yellow pickled daikon. The chicken was flavorful, and they use dark meat, which I prefer. It was a pretty sizeable portion. Even after we both ate a good amount, we still had some leftovers.
Sang's Kitchen seems like a great place for a grab and go (haven't tried this yet), but don't sleep on their freshly made bento boxes! Especially if...
Read moreBought the Ramen hotdog and the Fried Dumplings today because these are 2 of my favorite foods.
The dumplings were delicious and cooked just at the right crispiness for me. (That's my preference.) The dumplings come with pickled radish and little squares of something pickled. Both on the side, and I ate them both.
The Ramen hotdog seems like a regular hotdog. (Nothing wrong with that.) But the coating of fried Ramen really gives this dog it's fun experience. Surprisingly enough, it did not make the mess I thought it would from biting into it.
The woman working the register was polite and patient with our order and explained exactly how long I would need to wait, as each item cooks for different lengths of time.
I will be back to try the Ramen hotdog and possibly other hotdogs here, Maybe the dumplings too as they were good, but not unique looked the hotdog.
