Update almost 1 year later, still 5 stars: This is a place I have gotten lunch at many times since starting work in the area. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. I tell everyone I know to get Chinese food here because it's just that good! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Hands down best place to grab a quick lunch 😁. Previous review: I got orange chicken, beef & broccoli, and chicken chow mein here this evening for takeout. Everything was, fresh, well cooked, and very tasty. The staff were all so kind. This place will likely be our new regular Chinese place. Highly recommend! Edited to add photo of General Tso Chicken lunch special. :) It's a good portion of food for lunch!

Mr. Hui's is a quiet, unpretentious restaurant set back behind Fresh Market and Belk's in a shopping center. It serves some really good Chinese food. Anything we've had there is very good. We especially like the noodle dishes. Below are some other favorites we had at lunch today — potstickers, bok choy with black mushrooms, braised tofu family style, and pork in black bean sauce. There's plenty of parking and the service is always solicitous and polite. If I have any criticism it's that the chef can sometimes have a slightly heavy hand with salt. But other than that, the flavors are always wonderful and the dishes well-prepared.

Ok ok ok. This place is a vibe. It has family-run small business vibes. People who are complaining about the food probably out here giving a newly built Panda Express 5 stars. It is not shiny McDonalds. The food was great. Portions were large. The service was quick and friendly. Prices are very reasonable in 2025. I asked for my Kung Pao to be made spicy. No problem. Then she came over and asked if the dish was spicy enough when i was eating. I love this place. Oh and they have a bunch of hot and iced tapioca/boba tea choices. Those were good too! Mr. Hui’s … you complete me. Keep up the good vibes.

I'm honestly very surprised by all the good reviews here, but I suppose not everyone is as picky as I am. I gave this place a try specifically because the reviews are so consistently positive, but unfortunately, this is a "heat up" restaurant. 90% of my order was precooked, heated up products from bags of things you could very easily buy at any oriental market and make yourself for MUCH cheaper. When I say bags, I literally mean bags. I don't mean "Oh, just go get the ingredients and do it yourself! It's easy!" I mean I could've gotten an entire bag of the 8 dumplings they charged me $7.50 for, for about $5. The braised pork on rice tasted ENTIRELY different from anything else too, which tells me that was likely heated up as well and was produced by some other company. I'm not trying to be a priss, and I know that technically "everything is heated up in some way at restaurants", but I was specifically looking for a place to eat where that wasn't the case as I'm sensitive to preservatives and HATE the taste of things that've been sitting in bags. At the very least, I wanted MOST of my order to have been made in-house. I'm not going to FULLY rag on this place as a waste of time or money because the service was very good and clearly a lot of people enjoy eating here, but I can say with confidence that I...

Brought my wife here, and I was very disappointed. The food is like food at a Chinese buffet. Terrible. The price for the dishes they have aren't worth it. If the prices were lower maybe the food would be worth it's value. Around $5, but no, everything is twice that. The bubble teas are $4. But that wasn't the reason why this place has a one star from me. When I brought my wife in, she ordered her bubble tea, and I ordered a coffee milky tea. The lady said we don't have that. Then I asked for something else and then noticed it on the menu. It clearly read "milky coffee tea" under the list of bubble teas. So I pointed that out. The young lady sighed and started tapping really hard on the screen to change my order. Then she threw the receipt at my wife and stated to sign it. Then she walked off. Well i was already agitated about that, but then we got our bubble teas. My milky coffee tea tasted like burnt coffe beans with not sweet Taste what so ever. There also was chunks of coffe bean in the bubble tea. Very disappointed with this restaurant. Businesses aren't anything without customers. So I suggest this place work on there customer service. My visit was on...

Then says what u want to drink we don't have the menus yet? Then my family all order the gen tos Chicken and when I say I've never seen gen tos Chicken like this ever they were small balls they were crunchy and a small bowl of rice, and we order the shrimp cho mn it's was the worst it' was soggy and like it was old and smelled burnt , so she says you can take it home I said ma'am it's not good I don't mean any harm and she gets angry and walks away, then she comes back takes the cups gives us water instead of sprite 5 min later the guy takes the cup and says u have water instead of sprite that was kind of iffy so we get the ticket amd leave. Right after we left my daughter get sick 🤢 from the food. I will never...
