Sultan's Kebab — Restaurant in Livermore

To celebrate our 3 million views on Google, I’ll write a special review today! Driving by Livermore, CA, I was looking for a good place to have lunch. I decided to stop at Sultan’s Kebab. I’ve always loved middle eastern food, but very few places in the US are legitimate. Sultan’s Kebab is one of them. The mix of spices brought back to me sweet memories of my trips in the Middle East! The restaurant has a complete menu with tasty and fresh middle eastern food, plus wine and cocktails! I had a nice glass of Merlot while eating! The restaurant has a beautiful and trendy atmosphere. Family friendly with a beautiful and spacious patio. The restaurant’s decorations are very instagramable too, presenting the Turkish evil eye (protection symbol) as a theme. For last, I can definitely say the price is great for the high quality food you get! At the end, I could not resist and also bought some of their Turkish Delights! After conquering a five-mile hike, my friends and I were ravenous, yet still craving a healthy meal. Fortunately, a friend recommended this gem, and it did not disappoint. We settled into a comfortable table—the restaurant's airy, beautifully decorated space offered both indoor and outdoor seating, a delightful feature. Ordering was a breeze, thanks to the friendly and helpful staff. I opted for the salmon kebab, while my friends indulged in the chicken adabi, along with their unique Turkish desserts: pomegranate and rose, and lime and coconut delicacies. Everything was absolutely delicious. The ambiance, carefully curated to evoke a Middle Eastern atmosphere, added to the overall experience. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of warm pita bread and flavorful hummus, a perfect start to our meal. The service was exceptional, and the staff's courteousness truly stood out. I ordered the Salmon Wrap and the Dolma appetizer for delivery. The order was delivered quickly. The salmon wrap was literally only salmon and romaine with sauce on the side. The salmon was nicely cooked however. I tried the hot sauce with it which tasted like it was probably cheap store bought chili paste. Would have been nice to have something from scratch and to have the yogurt sauce mixed in and maybe some tomatoes and red onions. The salad on the side had the dressing mixed in. The flavor was nice, but the greens were slimy and wilted, either from warm temperature combined with mixed in dressing or the salad was mixed with the dressing earlier in the day. Either way, not good. Dressing needs to be on the side for deliveries. The Dolma had tomatoes and lettuce on the side which was unnecessary and didn't add anything to the dish.
