Ike's IS our bagel and breakfast source in the Livingston area. The excellent bagels remind me of New York City of years past. With a wide array of cream cheese spreads available Ike's is the best choice for bagels in town. They also do a great job with various other breakfast items - egg sandwiches (on a bagel or toasted bread), wraps, omelets, pancakes, french toast. And a good selection of deli sandwiches for lunch. Portions are typically large for a deli.
Try their Asiago bagel! A bagel draped with Asiago cheese that must be baked because the cheese is melted all over the bagel. A delicious treat.
Their coffee is quite good also. Try the cold brew!
Eat in or take out - your choice. They also belong to the Friends of the Livingston Library merchants program. Friends' members can show their membership card and receive a discount!
Plenty of free parking - Ike's is in the shopping center with Wine Legend, Aldi's supermarket, and Mezza...
Read moreIve been going to this location for 5 years . I have stopped going because it really has changed. Their service was never exceptional but the food quality was alway average to above average. I’ve heard rumors that their kitchen is disgusting from plumbers that have gone done some work there and from co workers that have walked by their back door. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt. But today I seen the guy who basically lives there older , rough looking gentlemen handle my bagel with his bare hands. My co workers warned me not to go there for the same reason. Not to be mean but he doesn’t look to have the best hygiene. Thankfully the lady cooked my meal . I just wish the owner would be there and make sure this individual would follow sanitary protocol when handling customers food. I hope this gets to the owner and/or health department and something gets done.
FYI : My bagel was soft and everything else...
Read moreThis was my go to spot for bagels and they were decent in size. However, sometimes bagels would be different each time some with more color than others. I started going to a different place and the bagels are extremely soft every time. I even freeze them and they thaw and are still soft. I was disappointed to see this place using Crisco. I was sad to hear that my SO other went to grab bagels for me one day and was like $1.50 short and forgot his wallet. So he drove all the way 10 minutes home and back just to pay it. Kinda crazy when all the times I’ve been to get a bagel. I get they didn’t know him but it gave stingy vibes. The overall atmosphere of the bagel place is usually empty but clean. They’re prompt with...
