I’m honestly pretty conflicted about this place. I order a birria burrito (recommendation from the owner) with queso which is an extra 2 dollars and a side of hot sauce. This comes out to about $20 dollars which in my opinion is a lot for a burrito. But if it’s good I wouldn’t really mind. I’m the only one in line waiting, they take longer than expected to make the burrito considering all the food is pre cooked. But that’s fine I bet they are new. What I don’t appreciate is the burrito being done and the employees holding my finished burrito and talking to her co worker next to her. The manager had to come up to her and ask if it was done. She hands the burrito to him immediately so obviously she was just too busy talking to her friend to just hand the cashier the burrito. On top of that while she was talking she felt the need to make a surprised face at something her co worker said putting her hand on her mouth to really drive the point home. She then continued to work with the same gloves she had just put to her lips. Ok fine whatever just give me the burrito so I can leave. I go next to door to get a drink and look into my bag to not see any hot sauce. I go back and ask for some and the manager apologizes and gives me a free soda. I didn’t go back to get free stuff I just wanted the hot sauce and told him it wasn’t necessary. He insisted and let me take my pick which was very nice. The manager cares and that’s apparent. I get home and take a bite of my burrito which surprise to me has no queso which I paid extra for. Maybe if they weren’t so busy talking to each other they would have noticed. On top of all of that the burrito is just ok. $18 dollars and $2 extra for queso I didn’t get for a mid at...
Read moreI don’t usually post reviews but this place was such an L it warranted one. The service was great , the restaurant looks new, well kept , with eye catching decor. However, the food was so subpar it really took us by surprise. The chips were stale , the guac had a terrible texture . The rice in the burrito was stale, the quesadillas were dry, the tacos were falling apart before you could hold them, the nachos were terrible with the fries heavily undercooked. The only good part of the meal was the horchata and the sweet plantains. Would not recommend, several spots nearby much better … even chipotle is better than this and better value. Don’t understand how a plaza with Starbucks , Blaze Pizza, Shake Shack could miss so hard with...
Read moreI am usually very reluctant to buy Mexican food when I don’t know the place or have a referral, but when my favorite place close without my knowledge and I was craving it, I just went out on a limb and I ordered from Sombrero Taqueria. I did order through their website because it was cheaper than DoorDash and Uber eats. It took a really long time to come almost two hours it was mainly the carriers fault and the very helpful and polite staff provided a refund. When the food come did come, it was amazing. It was warm as if it hadn’t been prepared two hours prior. They had followed all of my instructions and it was just amazing. I will be recommending this place to all my family And also adding it to my collection of favorite...
