I've now been here a myriad of times thanks to this becoming my fiancé's go-to place to eat when we're out and about and we can't think of anything in particular for dinner. To be completely honest, I wanted to wait a while after this place opened up to leave a fair review. I now have been here enough times, and they've been open long enough to work out most of the kinks that come with opening a new location of a business, so here we go...
I should mention upfront that this is based my experiences both dining in, and using the drive thru. I've taken all of that, and mushed it into one long review for you to probably not even read.
If you're unfamiliar with this particular location, it's situated in a very, very busy part of town. There are a myriad of places to shop, eat, hangout, etc. and that would normally work against you trying to get into a place like this to eat, but for whatever reason, this place never seems overly busy or too crowded. To me, that would normally be a red flag (especially when it comes to places to eat) but that just not the case here. It is however situated on a corner lot, which can make it a bit tricky to get in and our of during rush hour and whatnot.
If you've been here, you've probably realized that not a whole lot of other Shake Shack's have a drive thru (let alone a double one like this location). In my opinion, it's pretty handy when you want to just pick something up more quickly than it would take to dine in, but it is definitely not as fast a your typical "fast" food drive thru, so if you're in a hurry, perhaps a different place to eat would suite you better. A plus that I've found to using the drive thru here is the order accuracy. I've never once received the wrong food, or have had food left out of my order, which is nothing short of impressive.
I've also dined in a few times as well, and overall the experience has just been okay. Nothing more. Nothing less. The food is always good, and the staff always friendly, but for example one time it was literally at least 80 degrees inside making it incredibly uncomfortable to sit and try to eat. I'm not sure if they were having HVAC issues or what, but the staff didn't seem to be phased by it, so we just decided to sweat it out, eat as quickly as we could and get back to the comfy fresh air outside. It was an odd dining experience to say the least.
If you've dined in, there is a chance you've tried to order an advertised adult beverage, which is unfortunately impossible at this location because they don't even have their liquor license (for beer & wine). So I find that a bit odd that they would keep advertising and pretending like that is something you can order while you're here, when you literally legally cannot. Not a huge deal by any means, just more strange than anything.
When all is said and done, this place is modern, clean, serves a burger that is in my top 3 fast food chain burgers, and the employees are friendly, professional, and efficient. I don't know what else you could really ask for besides for it not to be 80 degrees inside while you're trying to enjoy your food. Oh, and swigging down a beer with one of these delicious burgers would be a plus too, but I am not going to be...
Read moreI ordered a double cheese with bacon and a STRAWBERRY shake- $18.49
For $5.50 You get a small milkshake🤔 I was so surprised when she handed me the small cup- looking at the picture this looks like a vanilla milkshake and it tasted like a vanilla milkshake. When the drive through cashier handed it to me, I immediately told her this was supposed to be a strawberry milkshake. She didn’t even look at it but quickly informed me that my all white vanilla tasty milkshake was in fact a strawberry milkshake. 🧐So shake shack must have this great technology to make a strawberry milkshake that has no pink or any strawberries in it… and still call it a strawberry shake- this immediately soured my mood because the cashier wasn’t even going to listen to me.
Secondly the milkshake was overflowing through the hole and was dripping all over . I didn’t want it in my car -instead of her taking it and fixing the problem- I used the napkins that were in the bag and sopped off the excess from the top and the sides. I then handed her the napkins because again I didn’t have anywhere to put them in my car and she looked so annoyed that I would’ve done that- just a tip either use a larger cup or don’t fill it so that’s coming through the hole. It was so liquefied it didn’t even seem like a shake- ( which is why it was overflowing through the lid) it tastes like ice cream that’s been sitting in the bowl for about 30 minutes a lukewarm liquid drink- save your money and don’t get the milkshake! Go to an actual ice cream place and get a milkshake excellent lesson for me to learn!
The burger was a 3- Great grilled smashed burger crunch but by the time I got home, (10 min drive) burger bun was soggy/ mush from steam and grease- I didn’t taste sauce just salt- It’s a small burger ( glad I did a double patty) - It seems in the last three months they already raised their prices-
It was my first and last visit- Burger places are a dime a dozen in our area! Some have done a very good job at delivering a good burger at a decent price and some fall flat- when you were charging almost $20 for a burger and a shake you better be able to deliver high quality everything to deserve...
Read moreWhat a joke… we came in and spent around 100$ of food including a tip, but the service was absolutely terrible. After placing our order and waiting about 20 minutes, (the restaurant was basically EMPTY) we had gone up to the counter to ask for our status on the order and a lady rudely said “you need to sit at a table and we will bring it to you.” Mind you we had selected for takeout on the kiosk, but ok! We sat down and we had seen our bags of food sitting on the counter for 15 more minutes until we had enough and confronted them. The worker goes “oh yeah.” You’d think out of all the workers just standing there they would notice our bags of food and call our number, but not once was our number called. We literally were sitting right next to the counter. After being dismissed we assumed they were waiting on something to put in the bag because she told us to go sit down, but the order was complete and it was just sitting there. What a joke! They workers were doing nothing, gossiping with each other and doing the bare minimum, not even working. Our food was cold and safe to say a complete waste of time and money. Please educate the workers. It’s extremely embarrassing on the company’s behalf.
I recommend just going to another burger place or a different shake shack. The problem wasn’t with the food, but the...
