Texas Lunch — Restaurant in Lock Haven

We haven't visited since March 2019 when the whole Covid thing started. At that visit the bald gentleman working the grill was very rude to us when we placed a mobile order to dine outside. We went to check with them inside to see if it went through and he stated "Are you just going to sit there all day or are you going to order something?" Today we decided to try again and was disappointed. There was one waitress for the whole restaurant. She was visibly flustered and overworked. We waited 13 minutes to be asked what we wanted. At that point we were quietly discussing leaving. I understand short staffing. But limit your tables so your one waitstaff can handle everyone without affecting her service. I never got to ask her for more butter or sugar for my coffee, which I left untouched as it was too bitter to drink without. I also understand clealiness and sanitizing during this. But offering cold ketchup and syrup in metal serving cups is ridiculous. Leave the bottles and wipe them as you always have. We will not be back until this pandemic stuff ends. We love the Texas. It used to be our every Saturday tradition. But we get better...

I've been going to the Texas for around 20 years and have always gotten good service and food. The other night after being at work for 14 hours and getting home my son and i decided to go to the texas for dinner. I understand it was 7:30 and they closed at 8 but how i saw our food prepared was unacceptable. I watched the fellow preparing our dinner drop the seasoning container on the floor which i believe he unknowingly kicked before picking it up and the water container then proceed to use them both for our meal preparation. Needless to say we didn't eat much and left.

And to get a response from the supposed owner like the one below is even more unacceptable. Perhaps we call newswatch 16 investigative reporting and have them take a look at your cameras? That is if you allow them too. The only food we ate were our hotdogs because they were already cooked when we had arrived. I brought an issue to your attention so instead of arguing with a long time customer save face and address...

i love this place so damn much! i would go almost every weekend when i was younger! now i’m older & cant get over there much. it is SO SAD that i have to say this, but i went on over with my mother about an hour or two ago. we went inside, seated ourselves at a booth, and then some other people walked in behind us and sat directly behind us, and they were waited on first. We let that slide but then more people come in and they got waited on before us as well. the waitress was the heavier girl with the long black hair. i know for a fact she saw us come in & sit down before anyone else! so my mother and I looked at each other and said let’s get out of here, all of the workers, besides the one girl i know (who is actually very nice - her name is chantelle. plus she was busy unlike the other female) saw us not being waited on. and no one said a thing. not even when we stormed out of there. i have dreadlocks, so my mom thought that’s why we weren’t...
