I made an appointment seeing that I've lived in Pa for 10 years and always wanted to go get my hair done. A year ago got a nice dress for my daughter's graduation, was impressed by this place. So I made an appointment since I'm getting married in a few months, had to wait a month for my appointment. My appointment came, checked in 10 min early, sat down. Receptionist was concerned that my stylist Eleanor wasn't going to show up to another stylist, (the only stylist in the building with another client). So my expectations at that point was going down hill. So she did show up. I have long hair ( every 10 years I grow it and donate it, but because of getting married I scratched that, since I still want my length) go over and get my hair washed, the other client was still getting her hair washed by her stylist at the wash station, 10 min before me and 10 min after my hair was washed. Told her I would like a wave permanent, ( my hair don't like curling, won't hold a curl, I've had perms before in the 90's and the curl does hold up.) and some color to get rid of the grays. Talked about it, then she cut my hair and just styled it. That was it. Nothing else was done. Gave me another appointment for a month and a half to do the perm. I had the money for the whole work up plus a good tip if it was good experience. But I was charged for the cut and style. But I felt like I was rushed like She had other things to do then work on my hair, at least do the perm or do the color. She could have gave me information for other services like getting a bridal package, get my bridesmaids an appointment before the wedding. Upsale on what this place could do. I had to read about it online on what embellish could do for me and my wedding. Disappointed from the time I walked through the door. I feel like I should just cancel my appointment that's in a month and half and go...
Read moreI was in embellish once and I won't go back. Me and my friend went in to get our hair done and sadly regret it. We stood at the front desk for a number of minutes as two employees talked about some girl having sex with with some guy and is now talking to another guy......like We care? Finally someone realized We were standing there and said rudely, "um did you need some thing?" In a rude push off tone. I told her no and we went to another salon. The place is beautiful but the employees acted as if they were better than us. So we will not be returning. It won't let me respond to you. but I'm sure there are great people that work there and are grea. not everyone there is bad. I have a friend that gets her nails done by the same girl that was rude to us. It was the two girls that were working at the front desk that I had a problem with. Maybe they were hving a bad day? I don't know but They were rude and inconsiderate. I don't know their names and I really don't care to. Feel free to check your cameras or start an investigation I was just bringing attention to the matter because I felt under...
Read moreThis review is for the Jim's Formal Wear suit services provided here and not a reflection of the salon or the staff which did their best to help as they could. I would not recommend JFW for a wedding from here because of the timing and issues with all of the suit rentals that we received. We ordered 8 suits at about $260 each and had issues with every single one. I as the groom found out a few days before my wedding that the jacket we had picked out didn't come in my size so we had to order 2 different and hope they fit well and looked good, which they did not fit well, but we managed. We had multiple issues with the pants, shirts, vests, and jackets either being broken or in disrepair. I sewed a button onto one of the shirts because it broke and they couldn't get a replacement in time. Some of the staff tried their best to really help us out but the experience was awful and created a ton of stress for...
