Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Lock Haven

HEADS UP All of the negative reviews check out. The fries were barely cooked. They came right from the serving window near warm and soggy. The food was very sub par to say the least.

3 burgers (without fries) + 3 milkshakes + small fries was over 50 dollars! Textbook: highway robbery.

Worst is the service, nearly every time I have gone in (Once a quarter) , the guy at the register seems stoned but paradoxically, angry and irritated. Probably because he has to take orders on POS with a screen then size of an iPhone mini?

With only two other tables; We had to wait 30 minutes for said order, when I asked for dipping sauce , he stated "the manager will be angry if I dont charge for it". (almost a dollar)

When I suggested it would be better customer service to have dollop of BBQ on the house, after such a long wait. His response was "I told it was going to be a long time when you ordered." Right.....ok..... All the while; the cooks giggling at our interaction. Right....

FYI Don't bother using the "manager's number" they are providing in the review-responses. The same aforementioned rude staffer answers the phone. So I can promise, that will get you nowhere.

They say " Home is where the heart is! " but truly I believe, Wayback is where the heart is. The menu is not only diverse and accompanies all ages, but it lives up to the pictures provided in taste & excellence. The most juicy, succulent, and tasty burgers in all of lock haven and quite possibly even central Pennsylvania. The stuff not only makes you feel at home but accompanies all your needs as well. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile & manners that you just do not see very often anymore. Their shakes are superb and I would give them 10 stars if I could. For a " fast casual burger joint " they sure do make you feel like you are in a high end restaurant, especially with the taste of the burgers as well.

The price is very justified for the quality of food you get. In fact, I feel like i should be paying more than what I actually do since it is THAT good. Since opening, I have been in about 3-4 times a week and plan to stop no time soon. Wayback is too good & is the best place in Lock Haven to eat if you truly want a bang for your buck or just feeling like you are in the mood for...

The quality of the food is excellent! I couldn't believe the perfectly sized, generously portioned sandwiches. Never disappointed and the portion is not too big, always enough. I was excited for all of the choices of menu items and different fountain drinks than the area is used to. They also allow you to take your cup and get the usual Pepsi/coke fountain drinks. This is a fish sandwich. Deliciouso! No comments♡ The onion rings were disappointing though! They looked good, but the thickness of the onion was overwhelming. I will never get them again. I like both types of "fast food" onion rings; ¹ like pictured, it wide sliced onion that was breaded. If you eat orings, you know that these need to be a bit over fried to taste the way they should. ² this type is the minced onion (exactly like the Burger King orings). I could eat those type anytime!
