First time here. What an awful experience, should if left after being seated and waited for service. I finally had to ask to be served, it should of been a warning. Finally, server #5 came to table and she said "Sorry, I was not told someone came in". It then went downhill from there. I ordered a fried egg sandwich on a bagel with extra bacon. What did I get? A scrambled egg, no extra bacon and a dry lenders type bagel and it was not toasted. Ugh. I asked what happened and was told Oh, our sandwiches only come with scrambled eggs. So,where on the menu does it say that? It doesn't and she took my order for a fried eggs never said a word. So, my husband was served his order and had to eat by himself until my corrected order came. In the meantime, he was waiting for his toast. I could not find server #5, and asked another server for his toast and she assured me she would check on it. She never came back to our table. Now, server 5 comes with my new sandwich and we asked about his toast. She tells us, you needed to ask for it? Who is taking the order and he had ordered the toast So we are now almost finished with breakfast and now comes his toast. ONE slice on top of a basket and our check. I asked why one slice when an order is usually two? I was told that because we ordered rye toast, it is only one slice per order. Really, where does it say that? Why was it not stated when we ordered. Are we punished because we ordered rye toast? When I looked at the check, there was no mention of extra bacon, hence, the reason why it came without. She never ordered it for me. She never returned to the table again. First time, now last time or never...
Read moreWe stopped for lunch after a great day exploring the nearby Reed Gold Mine. The restaurant was impressively clean and nicely decorated.
We were greeted immediately by a very friendly and smiling hostess and shown to our table (booth).
We ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, the fish sandwich with coleslaw, and two iced teas. We found the food to be fresh and well made but it appeared to be devoid of any kinds of seasoning. Lack of salt/pepper in the burger resulted in a rather bland meal with very little flavor. The fish appeared (looked) to be seasoned but had very little flavor even though it was perfectly cooked, hot and flaky. The fries were fantastic (after we added salt) and the coleslaw was happily reminiscent of KFC’s coleslaw.
Our server, Deborah, could not have been nicer and exuded southern charm. She was attentive, personable, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. Although the meal was not all that remarkable, Deborah was. We’d go back just for her.
I wanted banana pudding badly but my waistline did not. 😔
Prices were very reasonable and the menu was surprisingly vast. Meal would’ve hit the mark nicely had the sandwiches been...
Read moreGreat family restaurant. Very nicely decorated and clean. We stopped in late afternoon just before dinner hours and it was filling up just as we were leaving. They have a robust menu with fresh soup and daily specials to suit every diners needs. We ordered the crab cakes and fried flounder filet as our entree and both were very good. Each dinner entree comes with a choice of two sides to choose from for that day. We got Cole slaw and banana pudding for ours that were excellent. The fries were nothing special. Of course we had to order a dessert to take home. The chocolate layer cake was divine. The menu options available, booth seating available and efficient friendly service makes this a perfect...
