I would give zero stars if I could, I hate to be writing a bad review about this place because my family and I used to love coming here it was one of our favorites and now we plan to never go back. Chilis decided to change the way they do things even our waiter was being honest and let us know that anything chilis used to have that made them lose money they took away. He thought it was also stupid. They no longer do happy hour on food and they no longer do birthday desserts, which were both the reasons we went tonight, we went for my fiancés birthday and it was Mother’s Day, it said it was happy hour and we were originally going to order food to go but we called and they told us we had to come in for happy hour food and drinks, which ended up being a lie. The drinks were happy hour prices but not the food and they had little to no alcohol in the drinks and they cut the size of them in half. It took at least 35 minutes to get one meal and my fiancé ordered a drink and they never put it in so he had to re order after about 30 mins. We got a triple dipper and they made the portions way smaller and increased the price. When we asked the waiter if they do the cookie birthday dessert he told yes and that he would bring it out for us we waited a long time and nothing then we asked someone else and they said they don’t do them anymore. So not even the workers know what’s going on. We all decided that it is better to just go else where next time, they are going to lose customers big time from this all because they are money hungry, do they not realize there are other restaurants just like them that still have...
Read moreHave not been there in over a year, when we walked in they weren't too busy, maybe eight families or couples eating and about eight people at the bar. We asked to sit at the small tables facing Kettleman Lane when the hostess finally came over. She told us we could not sit there we had to sit by the bar because they were not busy and they don't use that section unless they're full and there's nowhere else to sit. I have never been told that I can't sit at a certain table at any establishment that we have spent money at. In addition to that, she pointed at the table that we could sit at and didn't even get our menus, we got them ourselves. After she pointed at the table, she walked away and left us standing there. That made it for a weird and awkward entry... The ribs were disappointing, my husband's coleslaw was taken out of a freezer or walk in and was icy and partially frozen. Food is overpriced for what you get. I'll go back for a margarita but not for lunch/dinner. The hostess is the first person you see when you walk in there, looks like they need retraining. The boy who was our waiter was very polite, I think he was new because he didn't check back to see how our meal was. We stopped for quite a long time waiting for a check and I did not know that you had to pay on those little machines at the end of your table....
Read moreI love chilis as I can order a vegan meal and it's cheap. My only problem with them is it doesn't matter whether it's busy or slow, the service is always bad. The staff are very nice but it's always really disorganized.
This visit, I chose to order chips and salsa for while I wait for my food, because it's always a wait and the chips didn't come. After my food came, I had to ask for the chips. They did give me a takeaway bag for the chips that is microwavable and a tub for the salsa.
I order fries, rice, beans and tortillas, as I said, it's such a cheap meal. They charge $1.99 each, as they are sides. I get 4 small tortillas and make little burritos, they are so nice and filling. Less than $8.00, such a bargain. The chips are free to reward members. Although the service has its issues, with time and stuff not coming. I still can't give it less than 4 stars. We always go there as a family, when family visit town. I'm the organizer and if you are going to give me a cheap vegan meal, that is where we are going. This time it was just myself and my daughter. The time before (October) there was 13 of us, as family was in town.
For other businesses, just remember, the fussiest eater is usually the one that chooses...
