First time eating here I love getting pizza from local places I've never been to before especially when they offer calzones. The pizza was very good plenty of toppings greasy full of flavor. The calzone was stuffed with cheese and pepperoni but it is deep fried. Now I am a truck driver and I been all over the U.S. I love calzones and I always get them when pizza places offer them. This is the first time ever that I have heard of or tried a deep fried calzone it even said that they were keeping with tradition. Also after trying it I realized I don't like deep fried calzones. It's like those deep fried donuts that they set out and let the oil drain from them. Well in this case the oil isn't drained from it and because how thick the dough is it absorbed a lot of that oil. Not to mention the grease released from the cheese and pepperoni on the inside. Also the bread had a sweet flavor to it that in my opinion didn't go with the pizza flavor. But i do...
Read moreOrdered from here through Doordash since it was free delivery this week. BIG mistake. Took well over an hour. The dasher was great, apologetic and courteous. Told me that he watched cicontes drivers going in and out with deliveries and pickup customers coming in and out and leaving with their food as multiple dashers were piling up in the corner of the restaurant. My dasher told me that the manager even had the nerve to tell all the dashers to wait outside and his "regular customers" are more important.
I guess because I ordered through Doordash, I'm not patronizing his business? That's a shame. My food was sub par at best, definitely not worth the hour and a half wait. Made sure to give my dasher extra too, since he had to deal with the rude staff here that can't seem to handle the pressure when it's busy. Never ordering...
Read moreI use to work at the Industrial Park in Logan Township, NJ and would come here for lunch sometime. I fell in love ❣️😘 with their Grandma Pizza!! I tried to get the same quality product from the other Ciconte locations closer to my house but it wasn't even close to what I remember getting down in Swedesboro, NJ. I should definitely go back for a Grandma Pizza pie there because it was unprecedented. I could just get one locally in Berlin Township, NJ but just for kicks I may have to give them a call and schedule a road trip one day soon 😋. This product was to die for and definitely worth the 90 minutes drive if memory serves. I've driven North that far for Papa's Tomato Pie in Robbinsville and the Swedesboro Ciconte's Grandma pie was of equal...
