Grayson Park in Grayson is a community gem that offers residents and visitors alike a clean, well-maintained, and inviting place to enjoy the outdoors. Over the years, I’ve visited a number of local parks, and I can honestly say that this one stands out for the effort the city puts into keeping it in great condition. From the walking trails to the fields and playgrounds, everything looks cared for and thoughtfully managed. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual stroll, attending a community event, or just letting the kids burn off some energy, Grayson Park provides a safe and pleasant setting.
The first thing you notice when arriving at Grayson Park is how tidy and orderly everything is. The grounds are clean, trash is picked up regularly, and the landscaping is well-kept. The grass is trimmed neatly, and the fields are maintained at a level that makes them inviting for sports or casual play. The playground equipment looks modern and safe, giving parents peace of mind while children explore. It’s clear that the city takes pride in this park, and the effort really pays off. It’s refreshing to visit a public space where upkeep is a top priority, and you don’t feel like you have to navigate litter or unkempt areas.
Another highlight of Grayson Park is the sense of community it fosters. Throughout the year, various events take place here, from sports tournaments to seasonal festivals, and it’s easy to see why the park has become a central gathering spot for the area. The walking paths make it a great location for exercise, whether you’re jogging, biking, or just enjoying a peaceful walk. Families can be found picnicking, kids play on the equipment, and athletes use the open fields. The overall atmosphere is family-friendly and welcoming, which is exactly what you want from a community park.
That said, no place is perfect, and the one issue that consistently stands out at Grayson Park is the limited parking, especially when events are going on. On a normal weekday or during quieter hours, parking isn’t much of a problem. However, when the park hosts a community festival, sports event, or other popular gathering, the small parking lot fills up quickly, leaving visitors circling for a spot or parking farther away than they’d like. This can be frustrating, particularly for families with small children or individuals who may have mobility issues. While it’s not enough to overshadow all the positive qualities of the park, it is worth mentioning because it can impact the experience on busier days. An expansion of parking facilities in the future would make a world of difference and bring the park’s amenities more in line with the number of people who want to enjoy them.
Overall, though, Grayson Park is a beautiful and well-managed space that the community should be proud of. It’s clean, safe, and thoughtfully maintained, making it a reliable destination for recreation and relaxation. Aside from the occasional frustration with parking during events, it truly offers everything you’d want from a neighborhood park. Whether you’re a local resident or just passing through the Grayson area, this park is...
Read moreTwo days ago, I decided to try eating here for the first time, and I really liked it. I tried to look up reviews and pictures of the food before going here, but there were only a few pictures in the reviews that weren't very detailed. I've never eaten at a Chipotle before, and I had the assumption that you get a burrito made, and it's put in a bowl, and toppings are put on it, but I was wrong. I took a few minutes to look at the menu and was not happy that they weren't any prices. I saw a steak bowl that was $12.99 if I'm correct, but that was the only pricing I saw. I went ahead and ordered a burrito and put my desired foods in it, including brown rice, Pinto beans, and the shredded beef.
I was surprised at how big the burrito was and was even more surprised that it was able to be closed up. I was even more surprised when I got a price of over $11.80. The burrito was good, but not $12 good. I literally could have bought a meal with three meats at Panda Express with chow mein and rice mixed for less than that price. I felt a bit ripped off until I got some information from someone who goes there frequently. I did some online Googling and found out that you get a lot more food if you get the burrito bowl, and then you simply order tortillas on the side, which is currently $0.50 each. I went ahead and did that the next day, and I couldn't believe how much food is in the bowl. By the way, I like that the bowls, they keep the food warm, and they seem to be good for the environment, at least the bowl portion.
I took the food home with my two tortillas and split the bowl exactly in half, and surprisingly, I made two burritos about the same size as the one burrito I bought for the same price the day before. I omitted the beef and opted for chicken instead, which brought the price down almost a dollar, but I couldn't believe how much more food you get when you opt for the bowl. I like the food, overall, it seems pretty healthy, but I'm from a Caribbean background, and I'm used to flavorful food, and honestly, this didn't have any flavors that just burst in my mouth. The food was good but could use some more seasonings as opposed to using sauces to give it more flavor. I don't like guacamole either, so that wasn't an option, and I can't take too much spicy, so the hot salsa was a no-no.
I would eat here again, without a doubt, but it certainly wouldn't be a weekly or even a monthly purchase. I suggest it for anyone who loves Mexican food, especially if you are on a diet or want to choose exactly what goes into your meal. I gave it four stars because the food could have better seasonings, but it's still good. I especially like the corn salsa, very interesting flavor that it gives to the burrito, even so I hate the diced purple onions in it, so I just...
Read moreMy family and I visited Chipotle last night for dinner and we had a terrible experience. She didn't give me my receipt so I can't provide the specifics, I did use my app for points so you can track the order there. I've had problems with this store before but I keep going hoping that they will be better and I am dead wrong each time. I ordered a bowl, the girl put a vey small amount of rice and I asked for a little more and she said it would be extra for rice. I began to laugh because I thought she was joking and when she didn't move I realized she was serious. I asked how much it is for rice and she said $1.10. I was shocked and told her I have never in my life been charged for rice at chipotle and she said it was store policy. I asked where on the menu it says it's extra for rice and she said it's not on the menu, it's just their store policy.
Then I asked my son to buy a bag of chips and they were out so I had him ask for a side tortilla and they charged him $.54 for a TORTILLA. Remember, I purchased a BOWL which is a burrito without the tortilla. Do they charge extra for the tortilla that comes in a burrito?!?!
Then my husband ordered a burrito and it was literally smaller than a taco bell burrito. I am goin to post the experience on social media because this is ridiculous at this point. I know Chipotle is getting a lot of heat right now but I never thought it was going to happen to me. Your employees are absolutely ridiculous. We are paying ridiculous rates for a burrito and we expect to get what we pay for. Like really, you're going to charge for RICE? I could understand if I'm asking for 3, 4, 5 scoops of rice, but she gave me a half a scoop that didn't even cover the bottom of the bowl. Absolutely ridiculous and disappointing and something...
