Our first (and last) time in this place. They were running a special tonight where meals were 50% off the menu price with the purchase of a drink. After we were seated and finally waited on, we placed our orders for drinks and meals. While waiting for the food, my wife noticed that the napkin wrapped around her silverware had a drop of dried blood on it. I couldn’t get the waitress’s attention before the kitchen brought our food out, so I just grabbed a set from an adjacent table. I took a bite of the beans, and while chewing I noticed that the bowl of beans had a long hair in it. I finally got our waitress’s attention and made her aware of the blood and hair. She apologized and retrieved the manager who casually brought a new bowl of beans, half-heartedly apologized, and asked if we needed anything else. When the check came, there was no discount whatsoever (save the 50% off the food items per that evening’s special). I went to get the waitress’s attention, but she was now sitting at some other patrons’ table engaged in conversation. After ten minutes or so, she came back. I kindly explained that I wasn’t upset with her as it wasn’t her fault what had happened but that I expected a discount after the (disgusting) issues we’d experienced. She took the $30 check back to the manager and returned with him having taken 25% off of just my already 50% discounted food. This amounted to a $1.43 discount. Once again, I gently and with a smile protested to the waitress who brought the manager to the table. He tried to tell me he’s already “taken 75% off” our check and asked me what else did I want. I explained that, first, that’s not how math works, and second, the 50% discount wasn’t something offered just to us in response to the issues. I politely insisted he should do something more substantial. He then took my food off the check which was now $22 and change. If they’d cut the check in half (or what they should have done, torn it up), I’d have skipped leaving this review, but here we are. We won’t set foot in this place ever again, and I strongly recommend that no one else...
Read moreDecent. Worth it to try if you're in the area. But they get busy and kitchen is slow.
I'll give them benefit of the doubt on a backed up kitchen on my most recent visit because they were busy. However, this wasn't the first time. Finally willing to review overall based on several visits.
Ordered online and said would be ready in 45 minutes. Got there about 50 minutes and then told it would still be 20-30 minutes. So about an hour and twenty minutes (80 minutes) after ordering we had food for a pickup order. This was not our first time eating here, but haven't had that long a wait for food.
Place was packed and took a while to have somebody acknowledge us at all when we arrived.
The food is okay. It's got some temperature inconsistencies when delivering to your table. As though some food had been done a while and NOT under a heat lamp. Cheese dip has been lumpy and not hot enough to re-melt the lumps. Sent it back to take about 15 minutes to get it back (after main food arrived asked if the cheese dip was coming back, and then it showed up again...still lumpy!).
Order correctness - it's 50/50 for complete order correctness. Eating in of course allows them to correct the issues, but when you get pickup and don't notice they've forgotten something until you get home you just live with it. It's mostly small stuff (not reading requests for items to be "on the side" or "additional", but still...annoying).
I can think of about 3 other places just as close to the area that I would probably rather frequent (and do). But others wanted this option...
Read moreUp until tonight, I would have said I was the biggest fan of Cielo Blue. Not anymore! We ordered 4 adult entrees with drinks, only 3 entrees came out. The Food Runner did not know which was beef, which was chicken. He insisted one thing was what was ordered, but it was ordered with no sause so he took it back in a huff. I didn't get my entree more than 30 min later, when everone had already finished. When rude Ricardo delivered my meal finally, told me I'd ordered it wrong and had I sent it back when it arrived. NOT CORRECT. Explained to him, but he didn't care.... even though the waitress was right there as the mistake was made and could have explained. We were already trying to just get through it because they found it funny to pop a bag as loud as it could pop ... my 2 kids thought is was a gunshot. One freaked out crying... this time in the world of gun violence... not a good time to fake a gun shot. Ricardo, the mgr was more concerned with telling me how to raise my children not to jump at a gunshot... hmm.. shall I pull up the gunshot stories from resturants, theaters, grocery stores, parking lots, elementary/middle/high schools????
Seriously worst dinner EVER! Bill came. Yes, they wanted to charge me for the meal I only recived with parenting lecture so I didn't have a chance to touch it.
Least professional resturant team I've ever encountered and I would hope the owners would like to know how their...
