Read moreAwesome first experience! Very busy when I walked in but they have a breakfast bar so I found a spot right away. And although they were crowded I noticed most of the people waiting for a table sat within 15 minutes or so, and you could see the staff was hustling.
I got the chilaquiles and they were PERFECT. Fresh, hot, spicy, the right texture and tons of flavor (I consider myself an expert in the field of chilaquiles).
I got my wife a chicken Caesar wrap to-go with a bowl of cream of chicken soup and fries. This dish was also excellent. Seems like they hit the wrap on the panini press to finish it off which gave it a slight crunch, soup was creamy and rich, and they have battered fries so they were still crispy even after the ride home.
The couple next to me were also first timers and raved about their meals to the lady who was working hard up front clearing tables and getting customers sat promptly. She turned out to be the owner, along with her husband who was in the kitchen.
This place obviously knows how to make a variety of dishes while keeping quality and freshness at the forefront, and seeing the owners working hard was refreshing and shows they care.
Lastly, although she was super busy my waitress Sabrena was kind and very efficient. The food runner was friendly as well, and the other staff I interacted with were pleasant.
I’ve been in the retail/hospitality industry a long time, nothing better than finding a new spot. ...
Read moreWe had a pleasant brunch here today. I’d love to give it 5 stars but just can’t. Here’s why via a list of pros and cons:
Pros interior is very pretty pleasant service clean food was yummy, hot and came quickly loved the large booths throughout the restaurant -serves alcohol
Cons Very pricey. Dropped $140 here on a family of five (two adults, 3 kids- one child did not order a meal and had the French toast from my meal) credit card fee charged smaller portions breakfast food I could get almost anywhere for cheaper which did not merit the high price dirty bathroom (men’s)
We got Nutella French toast, berry french toast, orange juice, chocolate milk (kids size), two mimosas and two “bowls” which are actually skillets.
The skillets were small for the price, though they did come with pancakes or French toast. Mine was a touch dry but it was tasty.
The French toast that my kiddos got looked delicious but was not a huge portion.
My youngest had the french toast side from my meal.
It was just not much for what we paid. $140 should be a fine dining meal and I realize the price has gone up everywhere but this seems extreme for brunch food. Warning if you’re on a budget, maybe hunt down a classic diner for the same...
