Tacos El Tizon 1 — Restaurant in Lompoc

After visiting La Purisima my boys and I decided to try this small taco joint in a strip mall, and all I can say is, Gracias a Dios! Truly tasty tacos, with my favorites being the alambre (onion, mild chiles, bacon, cheese) and the carnitas. Pastor was a bit bland. I didn’t try the asada but Sonnyboy said it was awesome. Tacos are $2-$3/each. We also enjoyed an alambre burrito ($9) and the red and spicy light green salsas. Regular verde salsa was just a’ight. They have plenty of beer options and soft drinks. Came for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how busy it was. Great atmosphere, customer service and pretty good food. I love Spanish and Mexican food, because every place has it's own spin on "traditional" dishes. This place is no different. I dont often have the red sauce on my enchiladas but it was good. Was a bit better on its own, but still added good flavor to the dish. Overall not a bad choice and more then enough to be fulfilling. Can't go wrong with the food and service. A local fixture for quite a while in Lompoc and I always find myself going back.

The tacos al pastor are perfect every time and everything else I've ever ordered has been great. No notes.

My one criticism is the interior could use some work to improve the ambiance, it's getting pretty dated and I think they'd get more business if the aesthetic were...
