We have a actual resturant open until 11pm on weekdays! The food at dinner was excellent and the cocktails deliciously sneaky could not taste the alcohol but it was definitely there. Pricing is not cheap for dinner with the average entree running $22 to $38 and cocktails $10 to $15 but i enjoyed it emensly. Breakfast is a great bargain with a $10.95 all you can eat buffet option. Lunch entrees running around $15. The heated outdoor paitio is open to sit at during all operating hours. I like eating late and being able to look up in a beautiful courtyard with the heaters bringing the surrounding temperature to a perfect 72° was perfect ambience. I could not recomend it any higher. Go daily for breakfast, regularly for lunch or happy hour (2pm-5pm and 9pm-closing), and treat yourself for dinner now and then. The only negative comment i can make is that there is a item on the dinner and happy hour menu titled Blistered Padron Peppers (V) on the happy hour menu or Blistered Padrons on the dinner menu described as Romesco, Idiazábal cheese on one and Teardrop tomato, manchego on the other. What was brought was the peppers roasted with a couple roasted tomatoes and less then a half a teaspoon of the xheese mix finely shredded over it for a large cereal type bowl filled with the roasted peppers. I did not ask questions before i ordered and was honestly expecting stuffed peppers. The cheese with how little was added seemed along with the 2 tomatoes in ratio as more of a garnish. I don't tend to think of a bowl of roasted peppers as a appetizer but it is the perfect add-on for their tri-tip dinner and when i order tritip again i will order those peppers which are stronger then a jalapeno but not in the punishment category. It has been multiple excellent experiences and is at the top of my list especially for breakfast. Try it you should not be disappointed in the taste or presentation...
Read moreThis is one of our favorite restaurants in Lompoc. We eat here frequently and have done so for several years, since we moved to town.
They have a seasonal menu that changes every three months with new bar drinks, desserts, appetizers, salads, and entrees. As a returning customer I really love this about the restaurant. We do often order our favorites that stay on the menu year-round, but there is always something new to try. It is especially nice that the desserts rotate. You can't get bored. I would say they rotate 1/3 to 1/2 the menu each season. They also offer specials that are different every day. I'm sure they do repeat them, but I have never seen the same special twice.
Our favorites: The pizzas are delicious, Lompoc tacos a favorite, and seasoned fries with ranch are fantastic. They have seasonal salads that can be ordered with fish or chicken (get the grilled salmon!) and their bar drinks are top-notch, especially their seasonal bar drinks. The house-made potato chips are unbelievable.
Service and food has not always been perfect, when you go to a restaurant frequently you will definitely see some off days, but the staff is quick to fix issues and make things right on those rare occasions. With very few exceptions in years of eating here the staff members are super friendly and helpful.
Because it is a hotel restaurant and bar the people who come here are widely varied. Sometimes it is very crowded and other times there are only two other tables seated. I don't really like that the restaurant is open to the hotel lobby, people are constantly walking in and out and flopping down on the couches with their luggage which makes it feel less relaxed, in my opinion.
The food, drinks, and service are good enough to keep me coming...
Read moreHilton Garden Inns are not generally recognized for their epicurean accomplishments however I was curious to try out the Valle Eatery & Bar as it is/presented as a branded restaurant. Additionally, being a travel nerd and a Marriott platinum elite, I'm down to check out a new hotel to see what's on tap.
The menu is lacks variety but they may be partially forgiven considering this is a hotel restaurant in Lompoc. Tapas aside, you basically have pizza(s), burger(s), or light sandwiches to choose from.
I opted for the Valle Burger thinking it would be the standard, safe choice. Truth-be-told, the meat was a little on the dry side and could've used more (or any) seasoning. The accompanying side salad had a healthy mix of greens however a few cherry tomatoes had definitely passed their prime and the Caesar dressing had a layer of small bubbles on the top--a classic sign of spoilage/food contamination. Against my better judgement, I had small sample which didn't taste anything like a Caesar/creamy Caesar. It had a confused flavor, for sure nothing I'd intentionally order.
Conversely, the service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Overall it was a positive experience; however to be fair I was the only one there towards the end of their lunch service.
The atmosphere is open and modern and there are a lot of good seating options to choose from, even an outdoor patio. To top it off, the bar maintains a healthy selection of local brews on tap.
Honestly, I'm hesitant to eat there again however I wouldn't pass on the bar/lobby as a meetup spot...
