Captain D's — Restaurant in London

I’ll start off by saying the food itself is solid for a Captain D’s location, which is why I gave two stars instead of one. However, the service I received today was awful. I ordered a fish and shrimp meal, drove all the way home (10 mins. one way), opened it up, and there was no shrimp to be found. I understand mistakes happen, but it was how it was handled that made it much worse. I drove back knowing that my meal would be cold by the time I got to eat it, but I paid for shrimp. They gave me the shrimp with no issue, but they couldn’t even muster up a sorry. “We’re so sorry about that” should have been the bare minimum when your mistake is costing wasted time, gas, and causing your customer to eat a meal that is now 35-40 minutes old. Being at least slightly apologetic goes a long way when you make a mistake that ruins...

First/last time eating here. Drive through took literally 30 minutes. Which happens, I guess. But usually comes with an expectation of fresh food at the end of the wait.

My wife said they were like LJS but better. I hate fish, but I like the battered chicken from LJS, so I ordered fish & shrimp and substituted chicken.

What I got was 2 tiny tenders & a piece of unwanted fish. One of the tenders was old/rubbery and inedible. The sides (fries and okra) were unremarkable, and not fresh, but not outright bad. Drinks were near $3 each, which was a hefty surcharge on meal with 1 edible chicken tender. My wife also received 1 good and 1 old tender in the same meal. Would've been more satisfied eating the Krystal's chik combo for $5.99 that I started at for 20 minutes in...

It has been several years since I have eaten at a Captain D'S, lucky for me not much has changed. We always order a combination platter, fish, shrimp, and stuffed crab. Everything was at the expected temperatures and the orders was correct.

The service was a little under par, when I asked where the sides were located on the menu board, I am visually impaired, the person running the front line just pointed in that direction.
