Staff non-attentive. I stood at the register for 5 minutes waiting to order; lots of staff ignoring me (not busy). I had to interrupt a member of staff to see if anyone was manning the register. She said I'd have to wait till the young lady was finished seating customers (she had seated three tables, they were not lined up either, before she finally came over with an aggravated look on her face). She asked how the meal was. I responded that I didn't know, that I was trying to order. Staff was not friendly. I gave very detailed instructions for a bunless Big Boy (keto). Second time I've ordered burgers with no bun at this same location. I explained that I wanted it as it's normally made except no bun. I even pointed to the picture. Simple, right?! Both times I ordered I received two patties with cheese, with separate tiny cups of lettuce, tarter sauce, and pickles to build my own. I asked for plastic knife and fork. She assured me it was in there. No knives. It's difficult to eat a bunless burger without a knife to cut the meat! To add insult to injury, they were aggravated with me when I explained I wanted the burgers dressed. There's a hotel next door. Maybe they're tired of tourists, I don't know. I'm from Kentucky. My niece and her husband live in Manchester, Kentucky. The rest of my family lives in Richmond, Berea, Mt. Vernon and Lexington, Kentucky area. The staff in Richmond are very friendly and helpful. I've never had a good experience with this location. I always stop in when I'm leaving the state. I'm happy to say the burger made up for all the aggravation. I hope management gives the staff a detailed explanation of the meaning of the word "service." I worked as a waitress for almost 10 years. I know what customer service is supposed to be. Thanks Frisch's for putting out a great burger! P.S., my husband just told me there were two staff members smoking out front instead of behind the building! I think that's an indication of...
Read moreBeyond horrible experience. Family of three seated and only 2 sets of silverware brought, I went back to the front and got my own. Dirty dishes were never cleared from the table while we were there. I asked was the salad bar included with the hot bar, one waitress tells me no, that is extra that it is together on special nights at a higher price, the next tells me yes, it is included. So, I decided to try that hot bar with the salad. Bad decision! The salad was very bad, lettuce brown and the tomatoes were wrinkly with a rotten one laying on top. No crackers in sight for salads. Only three options for salad dressing. But my husband ordered Cole slaw and got crackers. The hot bar, the only thing half decent to eat was the creamed corn and the peach cobbler. Chicken noodle soup was decent, but the chicken ran away I guess, it was chicken broth and noodles, no chicken in sight. I threw away all of the rest as I just couldn't eat any of it. The tables are too close together to try to get past to even get to the hot bar. The only napkin you get is the one wrapped around the silverware. For the amount of money I spent I could have gone to the grocery and cooked a very nice dinner that was...
Read moreHadn't been to the Frisch's in my area in a very long time...certainly not for breakfast. Usually head over to the Huddle House for a big breakfast BUT this morning's meal really was a pleasant surprise.
A typical busy Sunday morning found my wife and I looking for a breakfast spot...Frisch's came to mind....the breakfast bar. We'll, neither of us wanted to gorge ourselves so we ordered an omelet and a big breakfast. The western omelet was hot, hot...hash browns were hot, hot and even the toast was hot....really tasty and a warm cozy feeling in the tummy. My wife's big breakfast...eggs cooked as she asked, pancakes were delish, bacon was good and hash browns just as she likes them...all her food was hot and just sent from the kitchen....no sitting around.
Our server was courteous, kept our glasses full and checked on us often (even in a busy time of day).
We'll be going back sooner than we expected. I mean, $26 for two relaxing and hot breakfasts, in a nice environment beats carry out fast food any time. Thank you for the...
