We were looking to a different Chinese Restaurant for our late lunch early dinner. Super Wok seem to have an extensive menu. We were greeted and promptly seated in the dining room. I started off with a MaiTia, which was very good and reasonably priced. They do have luncheon special combination plates, but we ordered from the full menu. We started with Egg Rolls and Steamed Peking Ravioli, which were both cooked perfectly. The Steamed Peking Ravioli was served on a plate and not in the traditional in a bamboo steamer. I like Hot Mustard with my Egg Rolls, which was on a plate with the Duck Sauce and Hoisin sauce. Next, we ordered Sizzling Seafood Platter, Beef with Mushrooms, and House Special Fried Rice. We could hear the Sizzling Seafood Platter as it came out of the kitchen. In addition to the Shrimp and Scallops there was also some Calamari. When I ordered the Beef and Mushrooms, I didn’t realize that there were two different Beef and Mushroom dishes on the menu. I wanted to order the Beef with Black Mushroom, next time I need to be more specific. The Fried rice was white with large chunks of meat. Overall, it was a great meal, I ordered more egg rolls to have with the leftovers. There is plenty of parking available. This restaurant was worth the 30 Minute...
Read moreOh man where do I start... 10 open tables when we walked in yet we waited with two other groups for good 5 minutes before anyone approached us. Way under staffed at 6 pm on a Friday? Either no one comes here or the management needs to learn better.
We (3) sat at a 6-man table and at least 8 minutes went by before we managed to call over a waitress (yes we called her over, god knows how much longer is the wait).
We ordered a sweet and sour soup, Peking pork, sweet and sour pork, pan seared angel hair with pork, and Singapore noodles. All except the soup arrived cold. I'm talking about cooked an hour ago and is now cold type of cold.
When you hear "pan seared" what do you imagine? Some sort of hot sizziling stirred fried noodle dish maybe? No! It was some sort of weird heavily sauced dish and the angel hair pasta looked like instant noodles.
We asked the waitress to heat the dishes up for us and they returned with maybe 30 seconds each in the microwave and still not near the level of heat they should be if they were freshly cooked.
It was overall a pretty bad experience. Won't be back. Only reason why it is not one star is because my mom liked the Singapore noodles and my dad...
Read moreJust moved to the area looking for a good Chinese spot. My wife and I tried this take out at $40 for 2 platters of chicken and 2 egg rolls. I'm pro small business and really go out of my way to pay respect or give my opinion so folks can make informed decisions on where to eat.
If this is a 4 star Chinese restaurant in the area, I will not try another other Chinese restaurant in the NE area. I'm 2 hours removed from consuming part of our meal, and honestly hope that my body rejects it because there's not a doubt in my mind it would taste better than it going in.
I hope they use this review to improve their food quality, because we even received a sealed fortune cookie packet that didn't contain a fortune cookie. Shame.
Good luck to this restaurant in it's current state, it desperately needs it. Happy to provide another review if the owners reach out after an improved cooking process for a retry. General tsos and sesame chicken is impossible to screw up this badly...or at least I thought. Also might want to include a small rice container...
