Caffe Luxxe — Restaurant in Long Beach

Never tried this place & was at the 2nd & PCH shopping mall for the first time on Saturday afternoon so made the move to check it out.

Pretty decent drinks & very great service!

ITEM'S ORDERED:

Cafe Nico (espresso, candied orange, cinnamon, w/ almond milk)

Matcha Latte (stevia sweetened, w/ oat milk)

TASTE:

Caffe Nico basically tastes like a strongly flavored latte (which I like) with notes of cinnamon. I couldn't really detect the candid orange but wish I did since I think having it more present would have been enjoyable. I was just going to get an Americano but went with this drink since it sounded more uncommon/unique.

Matcha Latte (stevia sweetened, w/ oat milk) was pretty well made. Glad the matcha flavor was not lost & I like how they have straight up matcha powder that is not premixed with sugar.

SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING:

Service was fantastic here. The girl who took the order & made the drinks was very genuine, sweet & welcoming. Really gave me those good local coffee shop vibes.

They are located in the 2nd & PCH shopping center on the ground level, close to the middle area, facing Marina Dr.

It's a good sized, clean, spacious interior with a few tables & even more outside seating available. Big fan of the large grey (granite looking) counter top. Looks good & it's a great backdrop for your drink photo.

Parking is very easy since there's a large structure with free parking (up to 90 min without validation). You can enter the structure from PCH as well as Marina Dr.

I'm not local to this or any of their other locations but I'm definitely open to checking them out again. Great service & strong coffee pretty much always...

I’m not gonna lie the items are on the pricier side but it’s literally called “cafe luxxe” so you could’ve guessed that one. Anyhow I literally just HAD TO write the review about their biscuit sandwiches. They are hands down the BEST breakfast sandwiches— though they could add a little more protein with meat or something for the gains— anyhow, it’s simply delectable. I would actually blow my whole paycheck on getting one everyday if I could. The biscuit is so so good and buttery and moist and flaky all at once. It’s literally everything everywhere all at one, the flavor always on point and warmed to perfection. Aside from that the people working there are always sweet and seem so sick ! Their matcha latte is also delicioso. Whole establishment is fire love it here for real, how unfortunate for my bank account that I only live about five minutes away, oh well. 😆😁

I'm back lol, they got rid of the breakfast sandwich that I loved but I won't hold it against them, it led to a new fixation. You HAVE to get their cinnamon roll it's literally a croissant cinnamon roll ! I have once purchased it everyday for several days in a row and love it was worth...

I have to say this is probably one of the strongest/overpowering Chai's I have ever tasted but the customer service is embarrassing. We got a hot almond milk chai and it was so incredibly watered down that we went back to exchange it for something else because I could not drink it. We were very nice when we returned simply stating that we would like to exchange it out since it wasn't drinkable. The girl who helped us (I believe the manager) just stared at us and made me an iced version in about 25 seconds which dare I say was worse and handed it over without saying a word. There was also so much cinnamon on top it was overpowering. I could argue that the taste just isn't for me but the customer service was terrible and very representative of California. Don't choose this line of work if you don't know how to be nice to people...that is your job! She could have easily apologized and said "I am so sorry it didn't work for you. Is there something else we could make for you?" or "Yes, some customers think the taste is a little strong so I suggest x instead." I ended up tossing my $7 drink and the drink and customer service left a bad taste...
