Omg...as we were leaving the family in the LBC (I always wanted to say that- lol) we wanted some authentic Mexican food like what we have here in Arizona. We passed by multiple places on 4th Street and 7th Street before finally finding this little gem on the corner of 10th. We figured it's getting later in the day by the time we get back to Arizona it's bound to be 10 pm...we better stop and feed the kids. We pulled up and there were a few parking spaces that were not on the street with no struggle at all. It's not a sit down restaurant but I did note some seating to the immediate side of the small building but unfortunately it was filled with homeless people. Nonetheless, we ordered some carne asada burritos and I ordered 6 carne asada taquitos. The tacos were rather small but super filling and the burros were a generous size. The horchata didn't taste like it was the "fake" extremely sweet stuff you often find at restaurants. It tasted so refreshing, not thick nor too sweet. It was so delicious, we definitely did not mind eating it on the way to the 10. The meat and beans were delicious. They had the perfect flavor. The meat was not overcooked, dry, or tough. It was perfectly charbroiled beef that was still juicy and sent your taste buds into a tantalizing frenzy. It did not need any added salt or lemon the flavor of it was PERFECTION. Now when it comes to beef, I'm super picky and have high standards because it's just so damn delicious but so easy to mess up. CHEMAS has obviously perfected they're cooking techniques. We will definitely be back there when we visit again. Best of all it fed a family of 4 for under $26!

Homestyle AUTHENTIC Mexican food! This small and inexpensive but great tasting food! Yes, the trifecta of bomb Mexican food. They've been here 20+++ years and still great food. Went there yesterday and they don't have taquitos on menu but made them anyway for me...soooo good! Came back two days in a row. Mainly "to go" only. Parking and neighborhood might be seen as rough. Had the 3 hard shell tacos with rice and beans for $6.. Hard shells not homemade but still...$6.....with guac on tacos.

A little whole in the wall with traditional Mexican food and outdoor seating only. The carne asada has good flavor and the amount of meat they put on the tacos and in the burritos is good. The burritos are a little bit leaky with juices that poor out which kind of sucks. Same with the tacos but you can eat those quick. The place is worth a stop if you're in the area but don't go out of your way.

I can't begin to tell you how fantastically good there tostada's are. It's basically a flat hard shell taco with a thin spread of beans to hold all the ingredients on this mini-mexican like pizza. This place has been here for nearly 50 years, 45 years plus, by the current owners. All there food is about as authentic as it gets. I've pleasured myself for about 10 years with their eats. Bring lots of friends and handi-wipes. If you don't mind rustic outdoor seating, and food juice all through your hands, then it's a MUST stop for the hard to please pallet craving grandma's style cooking. The personnel that run Chema's Place welcome you like you were family. Good $ value for tastey flavorful...

Let's see.... The food here is fresh... Consistently fresh... Lots of flavor in everything they make. Their flavor is always consistent... And I love that about the place. Their service is nice and fast. The people their are friendly as well. The place needs some TLC from the outside , but I get it too... It has its unique style... , but it's always clean and looked after.... The neighborhood... That's the iffy part. You'll understand when you're there. Just mind you're surroundings and your good to go.... I love their menudo....chorizo con huevos con...
