Ernest Borgnine Theatre — Attraction in Long Beach

Que Sera Sera! Ernest Borgnine is honorably remembered by the theater that bears his name. I came here with my husband to watch the recent wonderful performance about Doris Day. The theater has a dedicated parking lot immediately next door making it very convenient. Upon entry, one is struck by the dramatic entry into a 90 year old building that is beautifully iconic. I gave the performance a 5 for the performer's tslents including the live musicians. There is a sizable lounge that serves snacks and beverages during intermission. My original review was removed for some unknown reason. However, I'm re- reviewing in the hopes that theater patrons will be stirred to give this venue a try. They could do better at booking things (they had a musical in the theatre upstairs and a party with loud music on the first floor at the same time, which was disruptive for those of us watching the musical) and having an entrance/exit for parking (instead of creating a bottleneck of cars in both directions). Its a historical building, and they are putting it to good use. They host plays and other events. Its dark, and hard to get around in, mostly due to the age of the building, but it is well maintained. The seats are tight, and the surrounding area is busy and not the best unless you are going...
