MacArthur Park — Attraction in Long Beach

The park is clean, the people are friendly, and the air is cleaner then before. One thing only, Parking Enforcement are leaving people that are homeless, realistically, careless, motor homeless, and shelterless. The DamV makes so much money on collecting fees for every vehicle in California and they should extend the registration renewal to 3 yrs. we have to pay to register a vehicle every year, but where does all that money go. To our roads? To our schools? To their pocket bcs it’s not t a government agency. It is owed by several people. When a horse would take a dump on the street inI the Cowboys and Indians era, Would tu horse take a ticket, or parking shiet citation? Then why do we let them...

The city recently remodeled the whole park and it has a beautiful, brand new and large playground, restrooms, basketball courts and benches now. We went to the playground and it’s really adventures, partly shaded and lots to explore for the little ones. I hope the playground will stay as nice as it is now.

Unfortunately there were some homeless sitting next to the playground, someone was also using the shower which is ment for the kids on the playground. While I was there police showed up and asked the homeless to leave though. I loved the playground and hope the city will take care that families will be able to go to this park safely and without fear.

I will never forget my homelessness experience 15 years in this park..all the famous people I got high with...all the people I saw die ...the spiritual transformation I went threw and then finally in 2021 when project room key stepped up and realized I really needed help..now that I have my life my apartment and my dog...I AM GOING TO FINISH WHAT I STARTED AND CONTINUING TO LOVE AND APPRECIATE THE NATURE OF THIS PARK....HOCUS POCUS STAY FOCUS.WHATS FUNNY IS NOW THE PEOPLE THAT WERE IN APARTMENT'S WHEN I WAS HOMELESS IN THE PARK...IS NOW HOMELESS THEMSELVES OUTSIDE THE PARK...HOW THE TABLES TURN..THEY STAY IN MY PRAYERS...GOD BLESS MACARTUR PARK...AMOR TE REY.....
