CHOLADA THAI CUISINE LONG BEACH — Restaurant in Long Beach

Stopped by to get soup for my daughter who was under the weather.

Ambience: 10/10 Lots of seating, great lighting, the decor was amazing and well put together!

Service: 10/10 It was completely empty when I went but the lady at the counter was super polite and patient as I looked at the menu. Food didn’t take long at all.

Food: 8/10 Thai food is amazing! And I love yellow curry over white rice. So besides the vegetable soup I also got the curry and rice. It was pretty good! Not the best I’ve ever had, but good. I also think for the price you should get a bit more of everything. I was given extra broth but I’m not sure if I was charged for it or not. Thai food is never cheap anyway and if it is, it’s normally garbage. So I think it’s fairly priced here and the food is good quality.

I would definitely come back again and I think this place is great for some Thai food while in the Bixby...

Great food!!! Amazing sauces and authentic flavors! Not your average Americanized Thai flavors. Have had, pad Thai, drunken noodles, papaya salad, Tom Ka Gai soup, chicken soup, Cholada rolls. The fried calamari and the fantastic basil (so crunchy even with takeout) chicken wings were great!!! Can’t recommend enough because most Thai food I’ve had in the last couple of years has been over cooked and under seasoned. I Love the intensity of flavors of their sauces at Cholada. If you prefer more mild flavors you can Mix any of their brightly flavored sauces with their mild peanut sauce for more muted delicious flavors. So happy they are only a mile away for takeout or dine-in. Can’t stand the Grub Hub charges for delivery so will not get delivery but worth the regular...

Beef fried rice only had a few pieces of meat I guess they were saving the rest for the next customer. Thai iced tea with boba was served with so much shaved ice in it was impossible to suck the boba through the straw because the shaved ice blocked it. After I finished most of the boba was still at the bottom underneath a thick layer of this shaved ice. I suggested they try one sometime to see what Im talking about and the waitress responded that she has them all the time and “it’s good” they never said how was everything or thank you sir or anything really. They treated me like I wasn’t even there and I didn’t just get through paying 31 dollars of hard earned money for some fried rice and a Thai iced tea. If you want to be treated like you don’t matter...
