This is a hidden gem with a different selection of eats ( other than the AMAZING burgers they are known for) and you won’t be disappointed. The side dish, apple baked beans is to DIE FOR! I’m ruined with traditional baked beans because this take is so much more and adds that “ thing” one would be missing in a side dish. The white bean chicken chili is another one of those must haves when eating there. The burgers are totally better than the standard burger places. The bacon jam is crazy good and highly recommended but the “Dirty” burger seems to be the favorite from what I could tell. But, in my opinion it’s the specials that he has ( non advertised) that are so yummy and a special treat that make this place one of my favorite in all of Long Beach and O.C. Sometimes it’s a tri-tip sandwich that is tender and seasoned to perfection, or a lamb something sandwich that you can’t believe came from a little place in Bixby Golf Course! He makes a tuna sandwich that is non like you have ever had, anything but boring and he sometimes does an Ahi dish that leaves you wanting more. CRACK IS NOTHING STANDARD. So if you’re not looking for something NEW, REALLY GOOD and THE BEST LUNCH FOR THE MONEY, maybe you should consider going someplace else. NOT RECOMMENDED but Crack may not be for everyone, but I seriously doubt it! Will eat here again and again and again. Oh and sit outside it’s a nice patio overlooking the course. Oh and he’s got root beer on tap!! Which is also AMAZING! Can’t find that too...
Read moreBest burger I have had in a long long long time. It tastes just like a good hemade burger from home. The guy cooks it right in front of you on a propane griddle and your burger is super duper juicy and drilling and the lettuce and tomato and whatever else jam they put in it is so freaking good. I just got home, and I literally want to go back for another crack! It was the best burger ever. Even though it sits on a nice antiquated 9 hole golf course, it's not a fancy joint, so don't go wearing your "fancy schmancy" clothes. The guy that is at the cash register is friendly and great. The older guy cooking the burgers is a little edgy! He's straight forward and customer service and hostess manners are not top tier but his cooking skills of those burgers are outstanding. They don't sell fries, so don't ask! You go andnget your own can of soda and bottled water out of a bucket, you pick your own potato chips at the front counter cause he's not going to being the chips and canned sodas to you, your own your own They do serve a few sod drinks out of some very old and questionable chill cups! I would recommend d drinking out of a straw because ....well...... you'll see! The restrooms were clean Overall, I can't wait to go back to get a burger but that's it. The sides are not the desireable and do not go with a burger. Sides were like, white chili beans, some kind of rice in a cup, etc. And I do mean, etcetera!!!!! Much to be desired! Stick with the burgers, chips and a cold...

I stopped by on Tuesday on a whim. I had seen the EaterLA article and was curious what a burger served at a club house on a public golf course was about. Also, I was intrigued that the place is called Crack Burger. Naming your spot after a dangerous and addictive drug is a bold choice.
When I arrived the chef was still setting up. He is a one man operation. While he was getting his modest outdoor grill going, people were already gathering and most were like me, not there for golf. He told us his goal was to help get more people to visit the golf course and pro shop and he seemed happy and stressed that he was getting some attention.
The burger was amazing. Very well cooked. The one I had came with bacon jam and chipotle aioli which was a superb flavor combo. He didn't have fries so I sampled his mac and cheese as a side. The patio seating had a view of the golf course and one group of golfers joked that the smell of burgers was distracting them.
I love the quirkiness of the setting. The burger was really awesome and I hope he has a lot of success in the...
