From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by an inviting and energetic atmosphere. The stylish yet cozy interior, coupled with the warm and friendly staff, set the stage for a fantastic evening. Whether you're looking for a casual night out with friends or a more upscale experience, the Gaslamp Bar caters to all tastes. One of the standout features of this establishment is its impressive drink menu. The bartenders are true mixologists, crafting cocktails that are as visually appealing as they are delicious. I highly recommend trying one of their signature concoctions; it's a true taste adventure. Live music enthusiasts will find themselves in heaven here. The Gaslamp Bar regularly hosts talented local bands and musicians, creating an unforgettable backdrop for your night out. The music adds an extra layer of excitement and energy to an already lively ambiance. What truly sets this bar apart is its dedication to providing top-notch service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your experience is exceptional. It's evident that the team at the Gaslamp Bar takes great pride in their craft. As for the food, the menu boasts a variety of mouthwatering options that perfectly complement your drinks. From tasty appetizers to satisfying entrees, there's something for everyone. I was particularly impressed with the quality and presentation of the dishes. In summary, the Gaslamp Bar in Long Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a memorable night out. It's a place where the art of mixology, live music, and exceptional service come together to create an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, be sure to add this hidden gem to your list of Long Beach favorites.

I am a fan of Knight Ryder on Friday night's! The band really give you 100% and is very engaging with the audience. If you don't plan on just hanging around..you should make reservations, although hanging around is a lot of fun too. Gaslamp ia pretty large inside as well as having a large outside..heated patio. They have a pretty good menu and the bar make good drinks..only problem...they really really want your credit card and have had some problems either finding them or remembering to return them..This was the case with me..on more than one occasion. Nothing was ever taken. Just a pattern I've noticed. I just had another one sent and cancelled that one. Back to the Good stuff..the energy is amazing here on any night. Great dancing and mingling. The crowd is friendly and I've not had any trouble in the years I've been coming here. The bouncers are very attentive and on top of things..discretely...which is good. The cover on Friday is only 10 dollars after 9pm and free before that. Trust me for what you get once inside...this is a great deal. The owner has done a phenomenal job and is also a musician..sometimes he graces the stage and kills it...with his amazing presence and mad skills on the guitar 🎸...he keeps a low profile, but is very friendly and great with his staff..as I've noticed. Overall Gaslamp Long Beach is most definitely an awesome place to come burn off some steam, listen to Great music, and mingle with good folk...for real. You should also check out their yearly Halloween party and their incredible New Year's Eve party...fun fun fun.

Gas, brake, dip, dip. Gas, brake, dip, dip.

Tell me when to go. Tell me when to go. Where? Gaslamp!

What a gas!

Cowboy Thursdays! Gaslamp recently starting promoting Cowboy Thursdays, featuring live bands, a DJ playing Country music, line dancing and instruction. I was offered free passes ($5 cover) and decided to check out Gaslamp for myself.

Immediately walking in, the first thing I noticed was how upscale Gaslamp is compared to my usual line dancing haunt. I'm talking laser lights, smoke machine, even the restrooms are an upgrade to what I've been accustomed to.

The dance floor, where all the magic happens, is a little small, but nothing I can't get accustomed to. It just means I can't really cut loose & own the floor like I usually do ;p The dance instructor brings baby powder for dancers to scuff on the soles of their boots and/or dancing shoes for spinning, as the floor is sticky and hard to spin without it.

My cohorts kindly offered me some of what they ordered off the menu. Parmesan garlic fries - You had me at parmesan & garlic. Yes, even though I was two-stepping with the ladies, I didn't mind suffering from anti-social garlic breath. Hey, it was good!

Lettuce wraps (choice of chicken or tofu )- Cilantro, cabbage, water chestnut, mushrooms, green onions, organic butter & lettuce. Trio of sauces on the side were sweet soy, sweet chili & sriracha. Yummy! Adding the sweet soy, sweet chili & a few dollops of sriracha, the chicken lettuce wraps were great while taking a breather from all the dancing.

Bacon cheddar slider - I found this to be rather salty. I know, know, of course it's salty, because of the bacon. However, coming from a bacon lover, I still found the bacon and patty to be too salty, even for my taste.

Besides Cowboy Thursdays, Gaslamp has these designated themed days-

Sunday Brunch Live Comedy Wednesdays Fridays 80's Nights w/ Knyght Ryder

I've seen Knyght Ryder perform previously at the Lakewood Summer Concerts in the Park. I enjoyed their energy while belting out classic 80's music, which I hold near & dear to my heart.

Special events, such as UFC, tributes & gigs by comedy headliners like Jay Mohr & Andrew Dice Clay are also held here, with some having pre-sale tickets to accommodate high demand.

A good amount of seating with tables & booths. Reservations make sure you secure a good seat, otherwise bar seating is available. There are private VIP areas with couches & an outdoor patio which is being renovated with heat lamps & such. Service from the waitstaff was friendly & efficient. We were brought out pitchers of water frequently, in order to hydrate from all that sweat dripping off us onto the dance floor.

Parking is complimentary & in a private lot.

Shall we dance? Fun times & great memories are to be held at Gaslamp Restaurant & Bar. I came away quite impressed with my first visit of Cowboy Thursdays, and plan to be a regular dancer there whenever I can. The vibe was chill, the faces were friendly & the atmosphere just right to get my country groove on. See ya next...

We went here because we had a Groupon and I'm glad we did, because paying full price for this meal would've been painful. We started the meal off with soup, I had a cream of mushroom and my fiance had the tomato bisque. It tasted like they dropped a brick of salt into the soups, because both were way to salty, I couldn't even taste what the soup was! Next we got the loaded sinful tots. These looked tasty except the two GIANT globs of sour cream that was plopped on top. After scrapping off half of the sour cream they tasted alright, but the cheese sauce (which tasted like something from a carnival nachos) was only in the bottom of the pile and didn't come with very much. Then came our main course (by the way, all the food came out at the exact same time) I ordered the pesto penne with grilled chicken. The pasta tasted like it was cooked the day before and just reheated. The pesto was non-existent because it had soaked into the pasta and was hard. The chicken had good flavor but was dry and overcooked. The side of bread that came with it was a half a baguette with a small grill mark on it. That's it, no butter, no garlic, nothing but a really hard peace of bread with no flavor. My fiance had got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of "creamy mashed potatoes". I wrote that because that's what it says in the menu, however, again they tasted like they were made the day before, they were hard, lumpy and way to much salt! The pulled pork sandwich had a good flavor and was by far the best thing we ordered. The flavor was good, the sauce was good, and even though it was probably made the day before, it at least had time to marinate which made it taste okay, but still far, far, far, from what I would call a good pulled pork sandwich. I love trying new places to eat and while I found the food tasteless, the decor drab, old fashioned and dirty, the...
