Disappointed. Extremely inconvenient and unprofessional experience.
I visited the Target store at 5760 E 7th St (Long Beach Bixby) today. As always, the store itself feels cozy, clean, and well-organized ā Iāve genuinely enjoyed shopping here in the past. The atmosphere used to be calm and pleasant.
However, this visit was a major disappointment.
To begin with, the restroom was completely out of order, and there was no clear sign or alternative solution provided. This is especially frustrating given that access to restrooms already requires you to track down an employee to enter a PIN code. I have a sensitive bladder, and instead of enjoying my time and shopping in peace, I had to cut my visit short and rush home, which was both inconvenient and embarrassing.
Unfortunately, the restroom wasnāt the only issue.
At the checkout, only one cashier was working, even though a long line had formed. I politely asked the staff if they could speed things up or open another register. Instead of showing urgency or professionalism, the employees became slower, exchanged sarcastic smiles, and made it feel like a joke. It was not just inefficient ā it felt deliberately disrespectful.
This experience left me with a terrible mood and physical discomfort, and frankly, I expected much better from Target. As a Level 7 Local Guide, Iāve reviewed many businesses, and I rarely write critical feedback ā but this situation was unacceptable.
I sincerely hope management addresses these issues:
Restrooms must be functioning and accessible without unnecessary barriers.
Staffing at checkout must be sufficient for customer flow, especially during peak hours.
Employees must treat customers with respect, not mockery.
A great store can be ruined by poor service and basic facility failures. Please fix this before more customers walk...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI tried doing a baby formula promotion and the manager was brought to the scene from her lunch. I guess she was upset and quickly tried to fix my problem. I bought 3 baby formulas and the system was charging me for the 15$ gift card. She wanted me to pay 15$ for what was supposed to be a free gift. So i left disappointed and tried it at another Target and it worked. I told them that it was the system that was wrong but she kept telling me you have to pay for the promotion. So i went back and gave it another shot. Me and my husband went to buy some food and the lady by the self check out insisted that i pay again. My husband didn't want to pay again because he has seen the transaction go through. But then if he walked away the lady would call him a stealer. So we payed twice and got harassed by the employee. I guess we don't fit in with the rich people and she thought we came to steal. Sad that they have employees that are discriminating against us.This store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this little target. It's small. It's great but it has everything. If you need the basics. It has large kids department, men's women's athletics home, not furniture. There's some small tables and some lamps but they have the basics. You know they have towels and linens and then they have toys and they have a good food department. Their food area is pretty big and the people that work in there are really nice. They just added about 10 self checkouts and then there's only one check stand or two maybe. But I like this. It's very small stop and go size target so you can't get really lost in there and just check out and go and that parking lot isn't that big but because of the places that are in that shopping center are small. It's kind of one of those kinds of things where you know the parking is available because people just come and go. This Target's close by at centrally located. It's right near Cal State. Long Beach so that's nice for...
