Thick-Cut Fresh Fish for a Satisfying Bite Sapporo Sushi, Unbeatable Value! Affordable Prices and Fresh Ingredients, Sapporo Sushi is a Top Choice for Japanese Cuisine
There’s a well-known Japanese restaurant in Long Beach that locals consider their go-to spot for authentic Japanese cuisine. Sapporo Sushi is famous for its beautiful and delicious sashimi and sushi platters, yet the prices are reasonable, allowing everyone to enjoy high-quality Japanese food without breaking the bank.
Sapporo Sushi’s signature dish is the sashimi platter. Several platter options are available, priced around $40–$50. While similar high-end sushi restaurants charge nearly $100 for a platter, the quality of the fish here is impeccable. From salmon to tuna, uni to scallops, all fish are freshly sourced and cut thick, making each bite extremely satisfying. A single platter is even enough to share among three people.
In addition to sashimi platters, sushi lovers shouldn’t miss the sushi platters. You can choose a chef’s specially curated set or order your favorite items individually. The fish used in the sushi is carefully selected by the chef daily to ensure the freshest, most delicious quality.
Beyond sashimi and sushi, the restaurant offers a wide variety of other dishes. Kids will love the Japanese-style stir-fried noodles, which can be made with chicken, beef, or seafood. There’s also curry pork cutlet rice and beef short rib sets, perfect for families to enjoy together.
Don’t forget the tasty appetizers! There are various fresh fish salads to choose from, and paired with their reasonably priced drinks, it’s perfect for a casual gathering with...

The menu offers a great selection of dishes, from fresh sushi to flavorful ramen and traditional bento boxes. The sushi is always incredibly fresh, with the fish practically melting in your mouth. I highly recommend the sashimi – it’s the real deal. The ramen is another highlight, with a rich, savory broth that’s the perfect comfort food.
The staff is knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations if you’re unsure what to try, and the service is quick without ever feeling rushed. The presentation of the dishes is always beautiful, making every meal feel special.
Another standout is their selection of sake and Japanese teas, which perfectly complement the meals. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you're getting, and the portions are generous.

All rolls looked like 3 year old kid made it, rolls where falling apart and very small. California had a lot of mayo, asked to put more cream cheese in philadelphia what they did, but reduced amount of avacodo, waitress couldn’t tell me the ingredients of freshwater eel rolls, I’ve asked about 3 times. All she she said: “it’ll be what you read - eel!”, she forgot to mention seaweed, rice, cucumber, etc. Asked which rolls have eel also, she pointed to only one. I had to ask other server to help me. He showed me 3 other types of rolls with eel they have. Caterpillar roll with eel had no eel, but just chewy eel skin... Also eel roll should have eel sauce, which it had, but with absolutely not the taste it should have and was just super sweet. We had 2 persons in our company, they brought ginger and wasabi on one plate for 1 person only. Very disappointed and will never come back here again.
