Daily Perks — Restaurant in Long Beach

Decent little coffee shop. It has an older eastern feel. And the lady behind the counter was super nice. I had a breve (a latte with half and half instead of milk). The espresso was a bit over extracted but not quite burnt-tasting in the way most Starbucks are. The half and half was a bit over aerated rather than smooth and sweet, but better than average.

It won't be my pride and joy local coffee shop, but I will definitely be back and could recommend...

The sandwich had turkey and pickles that were clearly no where near fresh. It was so bad I threw it away after 3 bites. The smoothie is sugar, water, and ice with zero fruit. The floor and common area is always dirty with trash everywhere. The kids from the school are very rude and disrespectful, and the owner doesn’t care one bit. I can’t believe parents allow their kids around this place especially girls you would think there would be laws against owners opening a place so close to a school and hiring people off the streets to work under the table and no background check the guy she has in there is constantly gawking at the girls and making inappropriate comments to them he is dirty and smells like beer I guess cheap labor trumps...
