Mamy's Place — Restaurant in Long Beach

A true hole in the wall joint. I was at the local hospital visiting a family member and was extremely hungry. I decided not to pay hospital money for food and looked around for local places to eat on Yelp. This place came up and it had a really positive reviews. Yes it's very small and it's a very small place in general.

The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. We ordered two burritos and a carnitas sope. The reviews do no justice for this place. When I leave a place Happy and wanting more, I know that I found a place that I would like to come back too often. The food was extremely seasoned, evenly distributed so that every burrito bite has a little bit of everything and it was just the right amount of sauce and spice. I’m a HUGE fan of menudo and I came across this restaurant online. I called to order two orders of menudo with pata. The person who answered the phone was very nice and friendly. When I arrived to pick up my order the older white man who took my order through the phone was even more friendlier in person. The menudo was a hit I LOVED IT !!! It was one of the best little Mexican joints I'd never heard of. They're located right here in Long Beach. For over 40 years, their doors have been open to the public, serving up Mamy's original family recipes for a wide variety of authentic tasty dishes. One of my favorites is the daily special. It comes with 2 tacos (your choice of meat) and a beer for $6 bucks. It even comes with chips and salsa!! Can't go wrong for $6! I highly recommend stopping by. You'll be glad you did.
