The Michael K. Green Skate Park is located diagonally from Washington Middle School at W. 14th St & Pacific Avenue in the City of Long Beach, California. The skate park is open 7 days a week from sunrise to 10:00 pm and open to the public at no cost. It's located in a very dense populated neighborhood with social and economic challenges. The facility is large, fairly clean, well maintained and clear of graffiti. You can tell that the skaters, staff and patrons take great pride at this skate park. Prior to the pandemic, the Action Sports Kids (ASK) Foundation lead by Mike Donelon and many volunteers hosted community events to bring kids and families together to promote the sport and help curb gang violence.
Opened in January of 2010, the 8,000 square foot skate park was funded by the Community Development Block Grant and offered ramps, rails, a half pipe and other features suitable for skateboard, BMX riders, razor scooter and in-line and roller skaters of all ages. The facility is part of an overall effort to improve the park in one of Long Beach's most economically challenged areas. Please help keep the skate park clean and safe for kids to enjoy for many...

The park is great for park riding, but as a street rider who is not proficient in park riding, the park can be a bit boring. At least the people who hang out there are generally respectful and willing to have an interesting...

Not that i would suggest that! It's still a good idea to lock up your bike no matter what! But overall im really liking that park and i definitely would suggest checking out what this Park has to offer if you are...
