Reno Room — Restaurant in Long Beach

Reno room is absolute trash. They allow their patrons (nonemployees/nonsecurity) to assault others within the bar and have the police on speed dial to escort the freshly assaulted to jail. The place has an overall bad/weird vibe, but hell, it opens at 6am per Google, so it must be obvious at that point. The little restaurant attached to it is mediocre at best. I do believe this place is ideal for middle aged alcoholics who desire to have cold ones served by mildly racist bartenders. If that's your cup of tea, this is the place for you. Additionally, they have a poor selection of liquor, with mainly middle to bottom shelf liquor. If you're a connoisseur of liquor or simply do not wish to consume middle to bottom shelf liquor, this is not the place to be. Long Beach has some cool places to really enjoy quality liquors and cocktails, this just isn't the place. I do enjoy a grunge/dive bar, but I prefer the ones with personable bartenders, interesting liquor/cocktails, and persons with a bit more integrity visiting the bar. We ate at the Mexican place attached, the food is good with a great price attached, their beans are bland and I couldn't wrap my head around how you can make tasteless beens. Still scratching my head over this. Their high stools are uncomfortable (guess they want you to eat fast and go) but the foods worth it. The waitress must have been training because she couldn't wrap her head around adding something extra (mushrooms), and didn't know how much it would be to add so she made up the price of $4 to add mushrooms (instead of asking), they serve a good pour and this time there wasn't a piece of glass in mine like last time that cut my lip. It's worth a quick stop and it will most likely take you longer to find parking that it...

This was my first time enjoying the Reno room. We Had a great experience. We had tacos for Taco Tuesday at the taco joint (attached) and then came right over for a few drinks. Great tacos great service I highly recommend. As we went into the Reno room, it had a great feel to it. Everybody was happy the vibe was good the service continued and was great the drinks were cold and always a full glass.. I will definitely be going back to the Reno room and looking forward to another great experience. Whether you're a traveler or local I highly recommend the Reno room and the amazing food...
