My wife and I did a small brewery tour this weekend. As my wife is gluten free due to an allergy, we added a Meadery to the stop list so she could have a chance to partake as well. Boy, are we glad we found this seemingly hidden gem! The atmosphere and decor were bright, open and very clean. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive but not overly so, as can be common in craft beverage establishments. There are games to play, if you like, water for palate cleanser and an excellent cider selection as well.
Now for the beverages: One reason we so enjoyed Beach Bee Meadery was because all of the mead and cider selections were full of complex, layered flavors without having the typical and fatiguing sweetness which often plagues these types of beverages. Every selection was delightful and refreshing. They also featured a number of "remixes" on their classic style beverages which were barrel aged. They even had a selection for the bourbon lover in your life! These selections were treated with equal care and really elevated their flavor. We cannot recommend the Beach Bee Meadery highly enough. This is a must visit establishment for any fans of cider, mead or craft beverages. Thank you, Beach...
Read moreI found out about this place from a posting on Instagram, and I was intrigued by their flavored meads and ciders.
As soon as I walked up to the building, I was welcomed and greeted so warmly by the staff. The two ladies that waited on me (who I unfortunately didn't get their names) were so knowledgeable and helpful. I opted to do the flights, which is $15 for four, and everything I tried was wonderful. They also do drinks by the glass for $8, and they sell the products to take home as well. The only "food" they have is some snacks, and they sell souvenirs like T-Shirts and Wine Bags .
The establishment is very clean, and you can sit either inside or outside, depending on the weather. This place has such a fun vibe and is great for small crowds.
Overall, I absolutely loved my first experience here, and I will definitely come in again the next time I am...
Read moreThis meadery is an absolutely wonderful addition to the state's unique repertoire of craft beverage producers. The owner is extraordinarily creative and passionate about the products. He is constantly developing unique recipes that taste good and make you want to come back. He has the creativity of a true artist and it really does show in the quality and diversity of his product. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming - even during COVID. He wants you to try his creations and walk away happy. If you don't like something, that's ok. He will find something that you do like. HIs prices are extremely reasonable for mead, which is an inherently expensive product to produce. And if you don't like mead...his cider is also quite delicious. Great for sipping on the porch, sharing with friends, or carrying...
