Most disappointing burger I've ever had. I ordered the Station Burger with cheese. What I got looked like a premade frozen beef patty, and turned out to have all the flavor of one. The cooked patty was over half an inch smaller in diameter than the bun it was in -- a cardinal burger sin. All I could taste was the bun and toppings, with no hint of the beef or cheese. The onion rings were overcooked to nearly nothing but crisps, but were still somehow better than the burger. We took our coats off when we got in, but had to put them back on about 5 minutes after sitting down because it was so cold inside near the bar. Apparently they're pinching pennies and didn't want to turn the heat up? Their digital ordering app let us order a milkshake even though there wasn't enough ice cream to make it with the flavor we requested, so we had to sub in another to make up the difference. That wouldn't be worth mentioning normally, but in light of everything else and considering the shake was also underwhelming, I figured I should. One of the downsides of using a fully digital ordering system, I suppose.
For what you're getting at the price, I can't recommend it. It's a cool concept and I'm sure it's very nice in the warmer months. For a place that advertises themselves on their burgers and shakes, this ain't it. You can get better burgers at a...
Read moreWe had been looking forward to trying this place for a little while and boy were we disappointed with the experience. We ordered the salmon toast appetizer, the toast was one piece of bread about the texture of a blown out tire. The salmon and avocado were fine but the toast was inedible. I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich (which they kindly did make into a wrap for me so props for being flexible) which had tough chicken and no flavor. My husband got the Korean spicy chicken sandwich which was good- if it has been called honey chicken. The tables weighed nothing and I wound up soaked to the core when the table shifted at the slightest touch on the other side and the water spilled all over me. I am not sure exactly where our waiter was while this all went down, but dripping wet I was able to track down someone who worked there who gave me a towel to sop up the water from the floor myself. My view from where we sat was cords on tables, containers of caulking and disarray in general. Though missing for most of our experience, our waiter seemed like a nice guy. I’d probably hide too if I was representing a facility like that. Very sad this historic structure is being represented in such a way. Would...
Read moreDisappointing experience. This is more of a glorified concession stand than a restaurant. There were no signs or explanations about how the system worked, and even though we were asked if it was our first time 'dining' with them, no one explained the process. We had to figure out that we were supposed to order through our phones and pick up our own food from a window. Based on the placement of garbage cans and trolleys, it also seemed we were expected to clear our own tables. Despite the lack of service, the system defaults to a 20% tip. Who were we tipping? There was only one person in the kitchen, and I saw them defrost and prepare frozen meals. Meanwhile, since we weren't constantly checking our phones for the text notification, our food sat out getting cold without us realizing it was ready. The food itself was dry and unmemorable. While they might attribute the experience to being understaffed during the week or catering more to the evening crowd, it certainly didn't make for a...
