Mama Mead's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Longmont

Update: Mama Mead's is under new management and it's great. We have ordered twice now. We could get through to order, we received our orders, they were correct and delicious. I'm updating my review to 5 stars. Hoepfully, the new team keeps up the good work. If you got turned off with the last crew, it's time to try it again.

Previous review: 3 stars We love Mama Mead's, but lately, the place has been going downhill. It seems like the owner may have left their kids in charge and they don't seem to care. A while back, we went in to pick up our pizza. Glad we did because I opened it to check and a slice had been taken out of it! I showed the guy running the front and he blamed it on his sister. He made us a new pizza, but while we waited we saw someone else come in trying to order. The guy told the woman trying to order that they were not taking orders because they were too busy. She asked how long the wait was and when she could place an order and the guy said they were closed. She asked if their hours changed and he said,"No, we're closed."

Today, months later, we are trying to order and the grubhub portal says closed and the phone keeps going straight to a busy signal for the past hour and a half. It's a shame because we love their pizza and it's one of the few places in town with...

Where has this place been all my life! Well, right here on Coffman Street in Longmont since 2016 (but around for much longer). Clearly I don't get out of the suburbs enough. I'm an east coast transplant and it is rare to find a place that does NY style pizza like I'm used to. Went there today for the first time and got some slices and a calzone for the family. Wow! It was so good! The sauce, the cheese, the crust, everything was just like being transported back to CT for a slice of Roseland or Sally's pizza. I can't believe it's taken me so long to find this place. The deluxe calzone was enormous and filled to the brim. I think the truest test of a great pizzeria is their plain cheese slice. Everything stands out and you can't hide inadequacies under mounds of toppings. Please, please, please support this mom and pop place! I would hate to see it fall victim to COVID's devastation now that I've finally...

I was honestly disappointed in my meal and in the service.First off we have been going to mama meads for many years, we understand there is new owners but I feel the recipes have changed. Not the quality I was used to! Pizza was changed, my eggplant sub was soggy and my tiramisu was frozen?! When I was told they were made fresh! The cannolis were not even filled! But it was not even the start of my bad experience I walked in to pay and the two young girls had a hard time getting my total for me...it was simple math I had to help them with it! I finally was able to pay. I got all the way home to come to realize had none of our desserts... I called to see if they could deliver them they put me on hold... then said they were making them fresh and would have the delivered...hence the hallow cannolis and frozen tiramisu so fresh! Really...
