Had heard great things from a really good personal friend of mine and had no knowledge of it ever being recognized on a respected food show until I pulled into the parking lot and saw them advertising it and was excited to try it out even more so after learning about this. After trying it out I honestly have only once in life experienced worst service and an even worst meal... Sat at the bar with three of my close personal friends and waited 15 minutes to even be greeted. After finally being greeted and having given my order, the bartender comes back 7-10 min later and at this point I'm checking my watch every few min to make note of the average time in between check backs and asks me what I would like to drink This is now the second time within almost half an hour of being there repeating what I would like to drink. I ordered the "half bird" meal" "Nashville hot" and I am huge on spicy food in general, love to the extent of ghost pepper type of heat but not until the meal was literally being brought out and handed to me did the bartender explain the fact that it was extremely hot even beyond average today. I'm still willing to look past the terrible service at this point to give all glooms a good look. I literally took 4 bites and turned away an almost still full meal to the fact it was unbearable and not at one point even enjoyable. What seemed to be the manager in charge ( and couldn't actually figure out if he was or was not, only relating it to the fact he was dressed in a button up collared shirt) came out around 15 min after finally ordering my meal and said that they were 1 piece of chicken short of completing our order. Sorry just not going back or guaranteed not recommending this brewery/restaurant to anyone I know. At this point I'll be putting my reputation for acknowledging good dining experiences and good food in the line and never want to point anyone in general in the wrong direction... Sorry but this place would not even get one star in my opinion if that was an option as far as...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time to The Post Chicken and Beer and was very nice lunch dining experience. The staff is very friendly and very busy as this is a smaller restaurant located in Longmont, Colorado. Used Open Table reservations as since is featured on the Triple D program, the place can get busy with a wait. Reservations worked great, and they had our table ready for 6 when we arrived for a reservations time.
Service was quick in the beginning, but tapered off during the meal as the restaurant filled up with the only thing really missing was a refill or reorder on the variety of drinks, water, ice tea and beers. Other than that, the food was all wonderful, with fresh ingredients and served at the correct temperatures.
Started with Thighfries (strips of chicken thighs battered and fried perfectly) and Brussel Sprouts, both were hot from the kitchen and very nice sized and tasty appetizers. The table order a variety of lunch entrees, from salads, sandwich, combo plates and a kidsā meal. All were well prepared and a nice portion of lunch. The chicken as portrayed on the Triple D show didnāt disappoint with a flavorful and moist fried chicken, with the combo lunch plate having a good size serving of 2 pieces of chicken, side salad (half size of The Post salad) and a cheddar biscuit. Salads had a nice portion too, which was filling for lunch. The kidsā Chicken Tender plate is worth mentioning, with 2 large chicken pieces, Mac and Cheese, and of course a delicious soft chocolate cookie.
Overall, a very good meal when you are in the mood of some nice comfort food and friendly service. I would definitely return if I found myself back in Longmont.
Tips for your visit: Use the Open Table reservations due to the size of the dining area and make sure you try something from their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food is good, like always.. I want to be clear, the food is good. HOWEVER, we have picked up or had our food delivered and Every Single time, they get it wrong. Most of the times, it's the extra chicken thighs, or sides we ordered, this time, it was our 3- drinks which totaled $20.00. We've had to go back, we live across town, and it's takes at least 15-30 minutes to go back one way. Every time theres an excuse as to why it was missed, and no accountability and more importantly ABSOLUTELY NO FIX TO RHE ISSUE. Our average order is like $130.00, and it's unacceptable that it doesn't matter to cross check the orders, kitchen and beverages. It's not hard!!!!!! Once is too many times, but we ordered from them at least once every 2 months, and it's wrong every time! We Keep coming back because we want to support them, their chain and stay local. But, it's getting impossible to do so, when the experience is like a $10 dollar meal.
Update: via the response below from the director. There was no "language" just direct conversatio, that you should be having instead of your customers. I obvious that the system is broken and per your management team, we are not the only and it's on going issue, that hasny.been resolved. That's unacceptable, in any business. And if you're not listening to Paterons, then you're falling short of the matk, and that is disapointing. If there is no accountability, which clearly theres not, then this will be the norm until those hard conversations are had, your processes are looked at. We gladly will ho elsewhere. If you think we should be eating our meals with incomplete orders and experience. That's on you. For the record, we didn't get a refund for our order, so that is incorrect. Sad to see how the service at this place has...
