Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Longview

Aug 2023 - Somebody messed this place up, BAD! 24hr Drive-Thru sign is usually lit, even when nobody's there! I tried them after not going for 1+ yrs and they only got WORSE! It was 12:10am and all their signs and lights were on including the Open sign and their 24hr Drive-Thru sign, so I pulled in. BIG mistake! This marks the second time that these Cheese-Clowns ignored me for over 5 minutes at their 24hr Drive-Thru and just like the last time, when I started to pull forward to the window, THEY TURNED OFF ALL THE LIGHTS!!! That's TWICE! When I got up to the window I could clearly see 3 clowns inside. Clown #1 was peeking out the side window while I pulled forward. When I got to the window, he was eating something and staring intently into the food box as if it was telling him, "Don't look, he's still there." Clown #2 was wiping things down and appeared to be the only one doing anything around there, like, Ever! Clown #3 came around the corner probably after switching all the lights off. He walked up to the window but it was like the movies where the cops have 1-way mirror and the suspect is combing his hair right in front of the witness. All 3 Clowns were pretending nobody was outside the window asking if they're open. At this point, Clown #3 leans down and says, "We closed at midnight, sorry." I replied, "Would you mind turning off your 24hr Drive-Thru sign?" He leaned closer and asked, "What?" So I said it louder for him. As I left, I stopped to tell the driver of the car that was behind me about them being closed when the clowns started coming out to the parking lot to get in their cars and leave. I hadn't intended to say squat and I wasn't talking to them but when Clown #2 interrupted my conversation by shouting from across their lot about how they don't have enough employees to cover all the shifts and how they work us so hard we cant retain anyone, blah blah. That's when I had it and cursed him out! If you want to act rude and ignore someone in your drive-thru... FINE, that's your choice. If you want to infuriate someone by repeatedly disrespecting them, also FINE. If you choose to do those things, I suggest you DO NOT come outside and immediately start yelling at them about how you're sorry but it's not your fault or that you're Really Sorry that corporate is to blame for the radio commercials LYING about you being open 24/7. Clown #2 is fortune his big ol' clown head didn't get shoved even further up that dark place! If you choose to do that to someone else, you may not be so fortunate. As for me, I'm done. I have been filling out surveys, posting reviews and all I get is a generic response indicating that someone will contact me if they find reason in my complaint! Apparently charging me in the app for $37.00 and change, then being unable to fulfill my order of two large shakes, being ridiculed by staff for not accepting their offer of two large sodas which are not even close to the same amount of money, then told to leave the restaurant, at which point I had to ask if I could at least get the food I ordered at which they shoved cold food in a bag and asked again that I get out. Refused to give me a receipt showing that I didn't get my shakes. Scribbling an illegible note on blank receipt paper signing the employees name also illegible and refusing to tell me their names is not a reason to contact me or refund any of my order! At the very least they should refund my shakes but any company that gave half a #$%&! about their customer would have refunded my order in full and thoroughly apologized! One of my favorite places to eat and now I can't go to the only fast food place I like! At least not the one in my town that is two blocks away and I used to eat at weekly!!!! I don't...

"Longview Jack" used to be super grungey, and the old bones remain despite the expensive upgrades to the joint under new ownership that were mostly for appearance's sake. Getting to the drive through is a little awkward unless you are coming off the civic circle towards washington way, but I doubt the dicey turnoff from 15th hurts business much. You can't help but see the shiny new facade and upgraded dining room (currently shut due to covid) when you're coming into town off washington way. It was a no brainer bet by the new franchise owner, who must be a smart guy The food has gotten a bit better, although I think that's due to a consistent staff at the time of writing who are consummate professionals. Once upon a time I had issues with missed items often at this location and now the problem is non-existent, service time is good given the staffing levels, which have improved under covid TBH, there used to be like only two employees on shift now there are three, and on any given day all are champs.
