So this is the first time I have ever been here and to be honest the place for me was pretty good. Met with my aunt for a late lunch wasnt very busy place was pretty clean atmosphere was nice was a little strange they only played music by Allen Jackson but whatever at least it was good music. So other than having to wait for a really long time despite the fact that they weren't all that busy service was ok. It kinda seemed like our waitress was trying really hard not to be rude but some of the ways she was acting was low key rude. My food was pretty decent ordered the cheese enchiladas with guacamole and sour cream my aunt ordered the beef fajita nachos no beans extra guac. So like I said my order came out ok my aunts food however did not. The first time her order came out she didn't get any of her guac let alone the extra she ordered. Next half of her nacho plate was chicken when she had specificly ordered beef normally not a big deal but my aunt has a thing about white meat chicken she doesn't eat it so it was a little disappointing to say the least. When we explained what happened to the waitress she went to find the problem and when she came back said that the wrong button had been pressed and apologized but it took them another at least ten to fifteen minutes to bring out another very small portion of beef fajita nachos for my aunt with beans which she requested not be on the nachos and they only did this after my aunt started to ask what would be done since her order was wrong. I felt bad for the waitress it kinda seemed like maybe she had been having a long day and we where there till closing but at the same time she seemed completely fine to hang around another booth with people I assume she knew since she kept sitting with them. She wasn't terribly quick to refill our drinks and seemed slightly upset when my aunt was trying to talk to her about her order being wrong but like I said it could have just been a really long day for her. Over all I would like to try this place again however I think I might try and go at an earlier time. After everything was said and done place was pretty nice and I'm willing to give it a second chance its definitely got its corkyness about it but I think given the right circumstances it could be quite charming in...
Read moreI had been passing by this restaurant for a long time. Always wanted to try it. So I sd we'll try somewhere different today. So we came to Jocelyn. Nooooo one greeted us when we entered. There were only two customers. Not busy at all. They looked at us like we were inferior. So we walked to d counter asked d cashier if we needed to b seated. Because it's our first time there. He sd sit wherever yall want. We ordered our food. It took about 30 minutes for our food. I ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. It was disgusting. Everything was completely burned on the bottom of the sizzling pan. The bottom side of the meat and veggies were completely black. It smelled horrible. My daughter has asthma. Almost cut her breath off....she ordered the cheese bacon fries. And d steak nachos. The fries were cold, very greasy and the cheese was hard and very stringy. Her nachos were disgusting as well. We were completely disappointed and dissatisfied....we showed our food to the server. He looked at it and humped his shoulders and walked away. We thought he would get someone to speak with us....we sat there for bout 15 min. No one came to our table. So I called a different waitress over. We showed her our food. She even agreed it looked bad. We told her that we spoke to another person about it....He was wiping off tables. He just walked away. Never can back. We showed her d guy we talked to. She replied "oh he's the manager'. I sd OMG really. We sat there a couple more minutes. No one came to our table. So we left. Extremely disappointed.Terrible service and food......WE WILL DEFIANINTLY NEVERRRRR...
Read moreWe have been wanting to try this place for years. We walked in, and no one greeted us. It seemed like they were surprised we were there. We pointed to a table, and they nodded and said we could sit wherever. We sat down, and our waitress was hard to understand. It was a mix of speaking softly and with a hard accent. Got water to drink and Longview water or this part of Longviews water is not good. So my wife got a diet coke. They have delicious and fresh chips, and they bring out their salsa. It wasn't amazing, but they do have an alternate green salsa that was better and fresh. You have to get upon request. Definitely recommend that. We got the triple dip appetizer, but do not recommend it. It was basically an avocado smoothie and mac and cheese sauce x2. I ordered the Carne asada Torta and 5 street tacos(asada and chorizo mix), and my wife ordered the Pastor Gorditas. It took 45 minutes to get our food, there were only 2 customers in the restaurant at 11am. Us larger people had eaten 3 baskets of chips while we waited and were VERY tempted to leave as we were pretty much full.... it finally came out, and it was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well seasoned food. My wife loved her Gorditas, she tried them for the first time, and the AL Pastor was EXTREMELY juicy. This is like a tex-mex place but has a secret authentic Mexican side that they don't really push to us gringos. But definitely recommend that part...
