Smallcakes — Restaurant in Longview

I called to inquire, about the cakes while I was traveling near the store. I had intentions on stopping by and making a purchase, however I did not know how much, nor did I know if they were made by order only ( all of these matters could easily be addressed on the website, but are unavailable). Once my call was answered I managed to ask if there were cakes on hand or strictly made to order, and if all the cakses were the same price. I received a snappy, " yes they are all the same price and we only have cupcakes, not whole cakes.... Can you hold in a second " Still calm in my reply "yes ma'am I'll hold" after holding about three minutes the snappy voice returns, "Are you still there?" I reply, " yes ma'am I'm still here" After a brief moment of silence I hear a muffled voice as the phone receiver is passed over to someone else. In the rustling of noise I hear the same voice "here just talk to her!" The phone was then passed to man .... Now I'm sure he would have helped me, but at this point I'm wondering what I could have done to have caused such an upset. It’s teacher appreciation week and I came in for just that. After seeing they had no vanilla teacher cupcakes the older curly gray haired woman convinced me to get another cupcake that was vanilla. Right before I checked out she’s telling me about a vanilla cupcake she liked. I then asked her I asked her could I switch it for the CHOCOLATE cupcake that was for teachers because it was festive. Instead of grabbing the CHOCOLATE TEACHER CUPCAKE, she grabs the one she said was her favorite. I didn’t notice until I left out. When I came back in to tell her she gave me the wrong one….. she told me she couldn’t change it once it left out and I could buy another. I let her know I told her the CHOCOLATE one and the one in the box was vanilla. She grabbed the wrong cupcake. She stared me down (so I continued to stare at her back). She asked another young lady what to do and instead of resolving my issue, she snarled, turned away from and helped someone else. I thank the young who did help me. But from here on out I will not have THAT OLD WOMAN help me any more if I even go back. Because how dare you be so rude when...

Oh my God, This place has the absolute best cupcakes ever... just ever ever!!!! I can't say enough about these people... super friendly and fun and very talented in the kitchen! They're AWESOME! The homemade ice creams are fabulous! There was one called buttered popcorn AND it tasted EXACTLY like movie butter popcorn! It was so so so SO good!! The very first two cupcakes I got were the peanut butter cupcake and the hot fudge sunday cupcake. The peanut butter one was great, but that h Hot Fudge Sunday one has got to be the best cupcake I've ever put in my mouth in my entire lifetime!! Super moist cakes, every one, rich, flavorful and beautifully applied icing... I am just ever so impressed with Smallcakes!!! I've been recommending and bringing people into this place since I found it. It's definitely one of Longview's little hidden gems!! They even have cupcake pops in different flavors and even have pup-cakes for your dog too!!! I most definitely highly highly highly recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth and an affinity...
