Unfortunately, a very poor experience today. Honestly, the worst I've seen at any LJS location and maybe at any fast food location ever.
Food took 15 minutes to come out. Food was overcooked. Fish was fried hard. No ice in the soda machine (had to go with room temperature soda) and several sodas unavailable. No self-serve tea. The tea is in the back but there was a slow line by the time I thought about going back. Barely a clean table in sight despite only a few people eating. Flies buzzing around me and trying to land on my food. Bathrooms were very unhygienic and looked poorly constructed in general (foam insulation extruding from walls over the sink, urinals were placed oddly high). Trash bin was overflowing, I couldn't dump our food. The restaurant was hot. Like really stuffy and uncomfortable hot. No self-serve ketchup, tartar sauce, etc., like at other LJS locations. The entire restaurant looked like it was falling apart. Wallpaper peeling, floors and walls dirty.
The person who took the order seemed to mean well. They seemed to be rushing and behind despite there being only a few people dining overall.
My recommendation is to close this place down for 4 months, remodel it, and then reopen it with more staff. I don't see how anyone is making...

My wife and I got all worked up for some of the scrumptious Long John's fish, hush puppies and scrunchies of younger years last night. We go to dine in to find this is the only place in East Texas that is not allowing dine-in (that we know of)..next, we go to order at drive thru to find a sign that says drive up to window to order...by this time we have been attempting to order for about 10 minutes, there is another vehicle at window that does not move for TEN minutes (we are timing this)...we finally get to the window to place our order and nobody comes to the window for about four minutes-only after I honked my horn...IT GETS BETTERso we finally get to order, asked to pull up and it takes another TEN minutes for them to bring out our food- forgot our drinks...Before pulling away we checked our order...MY CLAMS WERE BURNT TO A CRISP--ORDERS WERE WRONG AND THE ONE PIECE OF FISH WE DID GET WAS BURNED! We are talking 25 minutes now, then I had to wait 5 minutes for somebody for me to get refund from. I would give this a 1/3 star. We waited at the drive thru for 7 minutes to order. No one answered. We even honked and no response. Then we noticed the glass in the lights are knocked out and the awning missing. So we went inside to see if they were still in business. After we received a lot of attitude and rudeness from the staff we started looking around. The walls,floor, counters and tables were filthy. The fountain drink machine was dirty. The seats are torn up. The lady's room door didnt lock, had a hole in the wall and a rusted sink with a bucket to catch water from the leaking pipes. When our order was finally ready we went home. We spent almost $70.00 for food. Some of the order was missing, some burnt and some golden brown but frozen in the middle. This has been a total depressing experience. What happened to the quality food, and clean friendly restaurants LJS used to be known for? This place isn't somewhere you want to go. The LJS Corporate Office should be ashamed.
