Gator's Dockside Lake Mary — Restaurant in Longwood

Hey gang, I wanted to let everybody know what a great experience I had on Saturday night at your Lake Mary location. I was planning a surprise 50th birthday party for my wife. I wanted to stay local, but didn't know where we could go that could accommodate 50 people. I stopped in to Gator's and spoke with Dominic the GM. He assured me that they could handle everything without a problem. For that many people, they could give us the entire patio outside which would be perfect.

I stopped down on Saturday afternoon to do some decorating, but the room wasn't available yet. He said to just leave all the decorations...which was a lot, and said they would take care of it. I met my servers for the night, Bree and Katie and they assured me they would take care of it. I was a little nervous leaving the room unfinished, but Bree and Katie assured me they would take care of it and they actually seemed excited to do so. I had known the AGM Geoff from his previous restaurant so I had some confidence that things would be taken care of.

Well...when we arrived at 6:15 as planned, not only was the room perfect, but they had all of our guests hidden away on the patio, the hostesses were well aware of everything that was going on so there were no slip ups. The night was perfect!!! The service from Bree and Katie was awesome all night, none of our guests ever waited for anything, the food was great, atmosphere couldn't have been better on a great winter night in Florida. Both Dominic and Geoff made it a point to stay in contact with me throughout the night to make sure everything was satisfactory. I cannot tell you how many of my guests were blown away by the execution of the whole thing. You guys ROCK!!!. My wife was extremely surprise and she was glowing all night being surrounded by her friends.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tonight, I had the pleasure of dining at Gators Dockside in Lake Mary, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, hostesses Bella and Vienna greeted me with such warmth and friendliness, making me feel welcome right away.

The ambiance of the place was electric, especially with trivia night in full swing. It's not just a meal, it's an experience! The trivia added a layer of fun that you don't get at many dining spots, and my friends and I had an absolute blast testing our knowledge.

Now, let's talk about the food - it was "amaze nuggets"! Each bite was a delightful journey for my taste buds. The menu had a great variety, and everything seemed tempting enough to try at least once.

Service is just as important as the food in any dining experience, and Gators Dockside in Lake Mary has nailed it. Our server, Jill, went above and beyond to ensure that our evening was nothing short of perfect. Her attentiveness and cheerful disposition made our dining experience super awesome.

Moreover, the manager, Kelli, really stood out with her hands-on approach. It's not often you see a manager so actively engaged with the customers, checking in to make sure everyone is enjoying their time. This level of care and attention to detail speaks volumes about the dedication of the staff here.

Whether you're a local or just passing through Lake Mary, I highly recommend stopping by Gators Dockside. Not only for the delectable food and the fun trivia nights but for the exemplary service that truly makes you feel at home. Hats off to the entire team – you guys have created something special here! A pretty decent place to grab a bite if not crowded. If crowded with large groups, it's loud and can be slow service.

Tonight was a light crowd with a large group just starting to arrive. We were sat very quickly and far away from the large group. Our waitress Kristin got to us quickly and took our drink orders and asked if we had questions.

We ordered the Island Fresh Tacos and the boneless Wings with Chipotle Honey BBQ. The food was prepared quickly and arrive hot. The Tacos were spicy and pretty good, the chips that came with them were tasty but a bit too salty at times. Seems they are not consistently salted. The boneless wings were just OK. The flavor was not what I would expect for Chipotle Honey BBQ. Not sure I tasted any of those flavors, maybe a little Chipotle, just wasn't on target for the description. They do have a large selection of flavors so will have to try a different one next time. The meat itself was a little chewy.

Our drinks were just water with lemon but when we got refills (they bring new glasses) no lemon was included.

The cost was good for what you got. Their POS calculated suggested tips on the full amount after tax and not the proper before tax method. However, their check does state that method so just be aware.
