I placed my complaint with Papa Johns, I was told would receive a refund from Francois Vandermeer, Director of Operations on 11/27/24. I followed up twice since then, no one is responding. I haven't received my refund.
I ordered pizza for my son's 8th bday on 10/11/24, all he wanted was Papa Johns pizza. One pizza was completely wrong, the other had a long black hair in it. I called, spoke to the manager, he argued with me that my order was right and he made it himself. He was rude, dismissive, loud and wouldn't listen to me. So I drove the pizzas to him, showed him my order was incorrect and showed him the hair. Instead of apologizing he continued to defend himself saying he made my pizza correct I just got the wrong order delivered.
While I waited to speak to him I watched him handle cash and cards at the register then turn around handled pizza without washing his hands. I passed by this Papa Johns about a month later, the young lady with the black hair is still not tied back, she's just wearing a hat. I am so disappointed, my family loved Papa Johns but will no longer order knowing the manager is argumentative and still doesn't have employees tie their hair back after knowing her hair got into pizza. It's just gross, nothing worse then opening up your food and looking at hair.

We have since switched to Marcos and Jerry's - much better pizza with accuracy, better customer service, hand washing...

Was told by Manager, Driver saw someone take food inside after delivery. Advised Driver description is inaccurate. Manager stated: "Well somebody is lying." Insisted again, food not received. Manager begrudgingly agreed to remake order and deliver in 30 minutes. 45 minutes later no food received. Called to inquire, assured food was on it's way. Waited 30 minutes longer, still no food. Called to inquire. Informed Driver had to deliver a DIFFERENT order ahead of mine and my order would be delivered soon. Waited 15 more minutes, still no food, called again to inquire. Informed Driver would arrive soon. This sequence repeated MULTIPLE TIMES. At 10:45 was informed food would arrive soon, again. Waited an additional 15 minutes, still no food, called to inquire, assured by manager food would be delivered in 6 minutes or I would receive a full refund. 10 minutes later food arrives, called to ask for refund, manager states unable to give refund, issued a credit instead. Then after all of that, got FOOD POISONING from the food I received three and a half hours after my initial order was placed. So in addition to being accused of being a liar when the Driver went to the wrong delivery location, I also was given improperly prepared or IMO intentionally dangerous food. So as a result it will be some time before I order from here again, if ever. Read moreUp until today, I have always had a good experience with Papa John's. Unfortunately, today my experience was terrible. I had placed an order for three pizzas. One of them, which was a Super Hawaiian. I specifically requested no sauce and I know that I selected it. Something must have gone wrong, because it deflected back to original sauce. I called to correct the order and the manager was rude, argumentative, and verbally abusive. She kept insisting that it was my fault and implying that I just want something for free. This was very hurtful and wrong. All I wanted was for the order to be fixed. I called back to speak to the manager. She insisted that she was the manager which I don't think is true. I was being very professional but firm, voicing my concerns about her poor service. She gave a fake apology and kept repeating that no sauce wasn't selected, and it didn't come through and she wanted to force me to understand that. I ended the call and confirmed that my replacement pizza is on the way. I will never order personally from Papa John's again, and will share my experience with others. I hope that upper management will deal with this manager and correct her attitude instead of shaming customers and simply provide customer service and do her job.
